I thought we looked very decent first half, until we got anywhere near their penalty area. Then it was like we forgot how to play football. Bogle was the exception.

The second half was turgid beyond belief though, and I actually laughed when Wilder brought Norwood on for Sharp.

Still, on we go, and I'll take as many scrappy 1-0 wins as we can get, from here to the end of the season.

The commentators praised us for our controlled patient build up play.....the female commentator said we were “entertaining “
but it’s “same old”, “same old”. We do play decent Footbsll in tnr centre circle but never look like breaking down a team that defends in numbers.

Agree we showed a desire to play some nice passing football...I prefer it to aimless hoofball to giants up front.
But we....yet again....showed very little penetration/ desire to shoot and little quality up front.
Again the one player who shows the best attacking intend is probably Bogle....he runs to goal and shoots.

We were definitely the better team on the night...Bristol City looked surprisingly poor....if that’s Championship standard we have little to fear next season.
At least we’re threw to the quarters...that’s all that counts,

If Lowe and McGoldrick didn't hit the bar and Brewster hadn't miss judged a cross, we would've won 3-1. I'm saying 3, not 4 because the pen came in the same attack as Didzy hitting the bar

If that is Championship standard from a team with loads of injuries then we will struggle to be in the top half.
Best player was Ampadu and he will not be here next season.

Think we need to accept as a fanbase that we aren't going to waltz the league next season but winning games unconvincingly is absolutely fine. The lack of fans may actually help us next season as the expectation levels are going to be unrealistically high

I take it we were the poor Championship side, because according to Porktalk if that's our Championship side next season then we are a 6th too mid table side at best.
Mind you they are just a little bit giddy after beating the mighty Wycombe especially now Jordan Rhodes is going to fire them to safety.

It's not like they are ever wrong either. Going to be a tough season if they're making these sort of predictions. Worrying times.

Yeah that's the only time in the entire half they threatened. I don't think we were great or even good but it's not fair to say we were hanging on.

Why is everyone getting their knickers in a twist? We strolled past a team in 10th place in the championship without getting out of second gear for most of the game. I think we knew we could up the tempo and when we did on occasion we absolutely waltzed through them at times.

Not the most fluid performance but you think we add JOC, stevens/osborn, mcburnie and hopefully berge if he's not moved on to that team next season and that easily has enough to finish top 6 or better

To be fair we never got out of second gear, although Lundstram played like he does in every game this season, in reverse gear with a pipe in his gob, with slippers on, ready to move on.

Bristol Rovers and Plymouth put up more of a fight than Bristol City did, they were pathetic tonight.
