“Since the announcement the processing of information in readiness for presenting to institutional investors in Nigeria has commenced. If this exercise proves successful then I expect completion to occur during the second quarter of 2013”

Of course this isn't really about the football club, as they've said all along it's about construction projects in Nigeria. If they can persuade investors to divert some funds to football, they will, but don't expect much.

Esan is primarily doing a construction investment project for McCabe.

Esan was at the AGM on December 14 but McCabe did all the talking . Basically Jacob is just doing his job, all the cards will be with McCabe.

I kind of agree with you. The only way he is getting involved is to make money. What does he have to do with Sheffield United? Nowt. Now we all know that running a football club like SUFC is about as profitable as running a Palestinian souvenir shop in Golders Green and some clubs can make money, but SUFC ain't one of them.

Just say he bankrolls us to the Prem what happens after three seasons when we go tits up and get relegated? Will he stay - nah he'll sell out to some other guy and it'll be Portsmouth all over again. At least with McCabe he's a Blade (allegedly). Can't see a guy from Nigeria having the same affinity myself.

United will never be one of the mega clubs but we could flirt with European football at best a sort of Ipswich from the '70's or maybe an Everton as now.
