Not sure why anyone would expect United to be up there with Man U, Arsenal attendance wise. We -
Haven't won the league since Queen Victoria was on the throne and Marques of Salisbury was Prime Minister.
Haven't won a major trophy in 94 years
Haven't won a major semi final in 84 years
Have only been in the top 5 in 8 seasons since 1889
Never been in European competitions.
Think that our average attendance being only 1995 less in all those years than one of the MASSIVEST teams in football isn't too bad.

Could go on but I'm getting depressed

Talking of which, I tried to buy two tickets to take my grandchildren to the Rotherham match as a birthday treat, only to be told that I can’t take them as it’s a local derby and season ticket holders can’t buy an additional ticket for this match. Not only that, they also have to be registered and have fifty loyalty points so I can’t even do that.
I might just about understand if it really was a real local derby and secondly if it’s going to be a certain sell out which I doubt.
I haven’t had the courage to tell them they can’t go yet as I’m fairly sure there will be tears.
Thanks United!

Hi, I'm sure there must be a work around for this, especially as United have this new scheme for first time fans. It's probably worth dropping an email at the address provided for the new scheme: https://www.sufc.co.uk/news/2019/january/home-debut-scheme/
If you have no luck, I have one spare customer number you can use to get one ticket. If you ask to borrow another one on here, I'm sure somebody will help you out. Another, more expensive work around, is to make them both Junior Blades members. You get 100 points each as part of this scheme, but i costs £10 each: https://www.sufc.co.uk/news/2019/january/junior-blades-membership/
Let me know if you want to borrow my spare number.

The spare number I have is eligible to buy tickets for the Rotherham game. Just checked SW12 to S12 to S18 . It isn't a season ticket holders and has the required points.

It is amazing the difference is so small (and getting smaller) between us and our feathered cousins. Another thing they never acknowledge is their bigger ground, historically. This has enabled them to pull in the 3 or 4 bumper crowds each season that bump their average up. Their eyes also glaze over when you point out these bumper crowds were mainly the result of huge away followings as opposed to fellow owls attending from all parts of the known universe. Take a look below and watch the kop when Man U score (and Leppings Lane for that matter).

With JB you get £3 off tickets so effectively £14 for both to join. Then you can link them to your ‘family and friends’ and get three tickets together.

Many thanks BushBlade and to npfit for your kind offers, and to any others I might have missed. A couple of mates who cannot attend this match have come to my rescue for which I am very grateful. I will take up your suggestion though and enroll them in Junior Blades in the hope that they both catch the bug and want to go again.
I’m sure they’ll thank me in years to come for the misery it will bring though.

Must have missed a 0 off the Wednesday numbers so perhaps it can't be trusted.

Looks like we're 24th in Britain, 22nd excluding Rangers/Celtic. 25,159 this season is pretty impressive, I think this is still the legacy of Mccabes intelligent pricing when we were in the PL.
And would be even higher if it wasn’t for McCabe’s unintelligent decision making since then.
