The truly depressing thing is that we’re going to get attention-seeking garbage like this with ever-increasing frequency between now and Jim White Day.

Still worse, a sizeable number will take leave of their senses, assume it's true and start doing the Tyburn Jig for all they’re worth...

Listen its aload of bollocks, i have checked Porktalk and there is no mention of this.

If its not on Porktalk its not happening.
But what could be happening is Wilder to them apparently he's 20/1 now on some betting site, and this pig knows Wilders had a fall out with McCabe and threatened to leave, so he thinks he wouldn't hesitate to leave if he got a better offer.
Also McCabe apparently called off Brooks loan move to Chesterfield, with Palace, Newcastle and Sunderland all sniffing round him. And if it wasn't for Wilder he would have been sold.
Brooks will also be sold in January, Wilder knows he has to sell to strengthen. One offer on table two others watching closely, not the 3 sides mentioned above though so they also might come back into the equation.

BURNLEY'S new head of European recruitment Ian Butterworth said the Clarets are keen to bring more players in from overseas this January, as domestic market values continue to rise. The Clarets currently have the 20th lowest budget in the Premier League, despite this they are keen to press for new arrivals during the window.

He's off then :D

Ticks all the boxes, he's Scottish therefore technically from overseas.....and lowest budget? A box of Yorkshire teabags and a couple of ribbons for the typewriters should seal the deal.

Biggest load of shit I’ve ever read on here, Sunderland

Absolute rubbish....Because SUFC would never sell 2 prize assets who play in the same position at the same time....would they?

If there is one positive to come out of Couttsy breaking his leg it's that he wont be sold in January as well.

In touching distance of the Premier League and we are expecting the same owd United...

They are the lead Vultures...

Sean Dyche at the Corpthorne today...

Mr. Fleck.
So CW or KMc was discussing Fleck's transfer openly, in the pub, infront of you... right? And you was hanging around listening to their conversation, which means you was either sat on their table or the pub was so quiet you could here word for word what they was saying.

"Time will inevitably uncover dishonesty and lies; history has no place for them." Norodom Sihanouk

Ring ring ring ring

Hello Mr McCabe, hotel reception here. Mr Dyche from Burnley football club has arrived.
Yes Mr Fleck and his agent are in the bar, sat with some sports reporters and a few Blades fans. Your coming down? Okay. Yes Mr Dyche does have a large briefcase with twenties and fifties sticking out of it. By the way, Mr Klopp sends his apologies but he'll be half an hour late. The message is a bit odd but he says he's stopped off to buy schoolboy looks an action man deep sea diver and a rose gold Rolex datejust.
Very cynical

Is Fleck the midfielder they need to take them to the next level - Europa or even Champions League?

I'm sure there are better targets out there for them, they're not relegation fodder anymore

Fleck is good enough to be at least a squad member in any premier league side outside the top 6.
That makes him a target for premier league clubs. If Burnley are interested, then others will then show an interest. The difference with burnley, is that the club WOULD be appealing to Fleck due to the way the manager works and the team plays.
Fleck would be a good fit for them.

However, he has just signed a new contract here, and we too have a good manager who has high expectations and career goals. He has set his stall out to get this side to the premier league, and will do all he can to achieve it. Fleck is happy, family seem settled, he won’t be pushing for a move away.

So it will in the end be down to money. Burnley may well be putting some feelers out to see exactly what will tempt the club to sell. No more than that. We may come back and say he’s not for sale, or £20m!! But whatever it is, at least we won’t be walkovers.

Why would Dyche come down to The Lane to try and do a deal anyway? Is he bringing the money in a sack?

Tssk. It’s how deals are done in football Roy. You have a secret meeting with players in hotels adjoining the ground of the player’s current club. It’s hiding in plain sight.

Since when did a Prem manager visit a club/player in such a public place. Transfers are conducted well away from prying eyes. The last place anyone would be seen is the Copthorne if trying to take one of our players.

Hmmmm. Tell me more ?

There's two angles to this ... Pos and Neg....

1. Our players are playing so well, clubs from higher Divisions are watching them. (Positive)

and

2. Our players are playing so well, clubs from higher Divisions are watching them. (Negative)

Simple. Ths football lark....

Succinctly put, as ever.

All I can find kicking around about Southampton this morning, though, is a potential Uh-oh at Liverpool and the Arse.

Help me out, here. Don't be (cough) rotten.

It started with a comment about Southampton enquiring about Dembele at Celtic, Brighton/WHU being interested in the striker. For some strange reason, I haven't got a clue how SUFC were brought up (I think it's because of the positive publicity the club/Manager and certain players are receiving in the national press and other football corridors) in the conversation, but Brooks/Fleck were mentioned. Scott Brown and Southampton, not linked, were added.... hence the John Fleck thread (possible replacement for SB) as regards Celtic FC... as for Brooks, our good friends down WHL might well be interested..

No smoke, no mirrors, DEFINITELY no ITK here (though I was told about Carvahal taking over at Swansea City a day before it was officially announced)... it's chains linking with chains linking with more chains...

edit.....
Swansea City are being heavily linked with Tony Gallacher (Falkirk) but, now that CC has taken over, it looks like they'll be concentrating on different positions to strengthen... which now (possibly)leaves Wolves/Derby County and us to battle for his signature... £500,000 to £1,000,000 being mentioned.

I thought you were taking the piss but there is a genuine discussion on there about this isn't there! So desperate it's beyond cringe.

flecks a rangers man .. can’t see it

Just Incas brooks does go. I have no issue at all this time, whether the money is reinvested or not if it’s over £10m. If he was worth that to us he would have been playing week in week out

flecks a rangers man .. can’t see it

I understand so..
But folks are forgetting that he was one of the players who refused to re-sign for the Newco Rangers, feelings of supporters from certain sections at Ibrox weren't very happy.... (but this isn't about him signing for Rangers or Celtic, just a rumour....)
