We're just getting our act together to make our way over to Bromley for the U23s last game of the season, at Millwall's Training Ground. 2pm kick off. Millwall U23s are notoriously Behind Closed Doors, so I'd be grateful if you could put us in your thoughts around 1:45. No need for the Full Minute's Silence. But a gentle prayer to the Patron Saint of Blaggers.

We've done the pre match briefing. I've made a stirring speech. "If we don't get in, it doesn't matter, it's Millwall, we'll just cause a bit of bollocks & go for a drink, we're not obsessed"

Nothing to play for with These Young Blades I'm afraid. Currently 8th of ten (no relegation). Chance of 7th, chance of 9th, depending how results go. Usually a sad time at the end of the season. No doubt I'll be seeing some of these fellas for the last time today.

Hi Phil, could you do an assessment of the U/23's and U/18's seasons sometime.

Tony Yes. But I'm worried about it being overlong & pompous. I've got simple stats about where we finished in the league, a bit about the players who are out on development loans & a little bit on each of a handful of players. Is that the sort of thing? What else would people like to see?

Well done Phil, please keep it up with the cricket days out as well, always interested to hear what’s going on up north, (of the river).

Right. My Blog is published. Some Beer Deets (for Grappler & I should coco). Some season review (for Tony). Some H Neal assessments (for Willie Carlin). Some "I don't know who will be released when" duck outs (for Silent Blade). Some I was there photos (for Wards, but no prosthetics). And I'm glad chief Brown Hatter SW12 to S12 to S18 has seen my cricket Blog from N for North.

A great read that and the potted profiles of the players and their potential, are excellent. A bit sad that at this stage you can't see any of them making it but then that's life in the fast lane for you....

Good beer notes but I'm a little concerned about the Travis man love. Did you mange to get a room in the end?

Thanks for that pal, a good write up.

Am I correct then in thinking that our under 23 team are effectively our under 18 team, with a lot of the under 23's out on loan and overseas?

Nice looking bar and some serious strong beers!

You're sort of right. Our more experienced Development Players are out on loan. The next group form the core of the U23 team which played yesterday. More than half of those would qualify for the U18s. Then there is the core U18 group. There is a little bit, but not too much intermingling. What I mean is - Kyron Gordon could play for the U18s, but doesn't as he routinely plays for the U23s.
