Damn, better comb me hair, don't want them to get my bad side on camera o_O

Could anyone perhaps tell me who will be featuring for us in this?

Thanks in advance.

It's 2-1 to the Blades

Who's our number 7 on the right wing? Looks decent.

Coustrain?

Winning 2-1 now. McFadzean with our penalty. Didn't see our equaliser.

Our line up:

Willis
Palin Berry Evans McFadzean
Dimaio
Coustrain Whiteman K.Wallace Hamilton
Calvert-Lewin

Subs: Rammsdale, Brooks, Sukar, Cockerline.

The equaliser was a great move down the left, played across the box for Calvert-Lewin to tap in.

Not too dissimilar to Done's 2nd on Saturday.

Live broadcasts on youtube are a massive threat to sky, bt and the bbc. I'd like to bet it won't be too many years before we see league games on it

Thanks Bergen, can't say I enjoyed it but it was an eye-opener, conditions were difficult though. Wouldn't young Reed stand out like a beacon in this company and he's only just 17.

Heard most of the "coaching" from the line and that was even less impressive than the game.

The quality will need to improve a lot and it won't worry sky for the next few years at least.

Whilst the Premier demands such high rates for their product you won't see any proper matches on Youtube for free, i'd say that its also a long way off for the football league too.

Poor pitch and it looked tiny. Is the pitch in the caged off area an all-weather facility. Looked like the same kind of set-up as that behind the Keepafloat just down the road from our village.

No reason to be too hard on them based on matches like these. Games that are played on training grounds for some reason always tend to look like a mix between training sessions and matches. I've seen a lot of underwhelming youth performances from players that have done well at senior level later.

Not sure what people were expecting.......Barca v Real.

Local derby, bit frantic (as you'd expect)....on a poor surface.....very young side.

More of what I'd look for is what players do off the ball than on it, particularly on a dreadful pitch like that one. It's the players who are always in space for the pass/mark effectively/spot the danger before it happens/talk throughout who are, in my opinion, more likely to go somewhere.

Obviously first touch and technique are vital but all the players here are a decent standard. It's the mental (and physical) aspects which tend to make the difference.

I had a quick 'Roygbiv-esque' look on the Barnsley forum to see what they thought of it.

They were fixated by Morgan's coaching style. I watched it without sound but apparently he was effing and blinding. Not saying there's necessarily anything wrong with that kind of style, but it's interesting to get some insight into how he coaches.

Willis never stopped shoutIng and organising
McFadzean played at least three positions and looked knackered
Berry and I Evans were solid
Dimao played well
Wallace didn't
I liked CJ Hamilton and Calvert Lewin
The sub who came on was Jassem Sukar Hmmm let's say he grew into the game
Cocker line came on and was ok

I was surprised by the effing and etc from both sides and coaching staffs
We deserved to win and did.
Ok it's not Deadbat but trust helpful

Nice facilities, though the pitch wasn't great. The pitch next door had a relatively large stand, and I presume the pitch where the game was played had a stand too, where the TV camera was. The goals looked smaller than full size, and the pitch looked small too.

youtube will definitely be on the radar as a future competitor for the mainstream though.

Games of this crappy nature are already being streamed into betting shops. On Thursday I got a demo of Betradar's new 'live channel' product and they happened to have a friendly game featuring Ferencvaros which was 3-1 with about 10 minutes to go. The idea is to show football (no matter how shit or from whichever obscure foreign league) at all times of the day, when the main games aren't being played, to create an "in play" betting opportunity for a bored punter.

And it works - I tuned out of the discussion for a good five minutes because I was watching that shitty friendly game in which I had no real interest. And today, whilst watching this U21 game, I had a scratch around to see if anyone was offering in running odds :D

There was definitely talk of these 1 camera setups being packaged up and sold for football league games (a bit like those US sports "passes" that you can get, I guess) because the guy who was doing it is an ex-colleague of a colleague, as it were. Not sure why it hasn't happened yet. It will.

I don't think the goals were smaller to me it looked like the picture resolution that was the problem, to me all the players looked tall and thin too, watching on full screen was no better either. Watchable but still a rather poor quality video.
