Burnley playing a few first team players too. I guess with a international break there's less players for closed doors practice!

Very good goal, great play from Marsh who puts it on Osula head for the goal

I know he's coming back from an injury but Benson is running past Enda easily. Any injury to Lowe on that left side and we could be in real trouble. Done a great job for us but Stevens has looked completely done for a year or two now.
Good to see Osula back against a strong Burnley team. Good 45 minutes.
utb

Good game , we’re playing well , could be 3-4 up some nice displays
Burnley have a strong team with a few first teasers in it

Those Burnley first teamers who played in the 5 2 game earlier in the season must have nightmares about us

How many 1st teamers did Burnley start ?

I know it was only U21's but surely Osula has got to be infront of Sharp along with Jebbison.

six who have featured in their first team squad.
Wow thats quite a lot to get a hammering 4.0 - although the same could be said of our starting side as from memory weve had Sajdev,Arblaster,Gordon, Osula, Hackford all had some 1st team experience ?

Really good display from them all, some really promising youngsters we have.

Special mention for Hackford. A year out with a bad injury but you can see him getting stronger and quicker with every game, should have scored but played really well, excellent hold up play, and the quick darting runs to find space in and around the box that can’t be taught it’s pure instinct, they are on their way back with him. Hopefully he can keep getting better little by little each game because if he can fully get over the injury and progress as normal for his age there is an exceptional player still in there.

We are very lucky with our young strikers, Jebbo, Osula, Marsh, Hackford.. not to mention there is some very promising ones a little younger, future is definitely bright when it comes to strikers for us.

GK: Denis Franchi - named in first team squad twice this season. On loan from PSG
RB: Keelan Williams - no first team appearances
CB: Taylor Harwood-Bellis - 29 first team appearances inc 28 starts. On loan from Man City
CB: Dan Sassi - one first team squad appearance
LB: Charlie Taylor - 36 first team appearances including 21 starts. Senior pro.
CM: Joe Bauress - named in first team squad once
CM: Samuel Bastien - 23 first team appearances, 11 starts. Signed from Standard Liege for £700k
RW: Manuel Benson - 30 first team appearances, 14 starts. Signed from Royal Antwerp for £3.5m
AM: Scott Twine - 13 first team appearances, 4 starts. Signed from MK Dons for £2.5m
LW: Seb Thompson - no first team appearances
CF: Halil Dervisoglu - 9 substitute appearances. On loan from Brentford

I'd argue that's two first choices (Taylor & Harwood-Bellis), two rotation players (Benson & Bastien) and two fringe (Twine & Dervisoglu)

Compare and contrast with our team...
GK: Marcus Dewhurst - no first team appearances
RCB: Kyron Gordon - 2 first team starts
CB: Connor Barratt - no first team appearances
LCB: Miguel Freckleton- no first team appearances
RWB: Sai Sachdev - one first team sub appearance
CM: Oliver Arblaster - 5 first team appearances, 2 starts
CM: Sydie Peck- no first team appearances
LWB: Enda Stevens - 12 first team appearances, 10 starts. Senior pro
AM: Louie Marsh - named in first team squad 4 times
CF: Will Osula - named in first team squad once
CF: Antoine Hackford - no first team appearances

One rotation player (Stevens), one fringe (Arblaster), one emergency backup (Gordon)

Watching that has given me some confidence for the future. Should the worst happen and we don’t gain promotion this season and then have to sell our better players to keep us afloat, it’s good to see we have a few strong young players coming through who could hold their own in the championship next season. Mix that crop with two or three good loan players to add experience, we could be good to go.

You've got to remember as well the players that are still out on loan (no, i can't list them without looking it up)

Didn't Hackford play at Palace once?
