Wigan 4-5 Under 18s - report
United's Under 18s kept up their unbeaten start to the season with a 5-4 win in a nine-goal encounter.www.sufc.co.uk
You’d have thought so but whilst Marsh and One are here he’ll be behind them in terms of the 21’s pecking order he’s probably competing with Havenhand (fingers crossed he returns well from a long injury lay off) to be 3rd choice for the 21’s.Beattie has to move up to the 21s he must be too good for the 18s.

It’s going to be a consequence of us having to do so much first team business this summer that we didn’t have time to address first team squad depth. Some players who should’ve probably gone out on loan have stayed in house to offer first team depth so players who would otherwise be getting 21’s exposure are staying in the 18’s.
Wouldn’t surprise me if some of the 18’s or younger 21’s head out for a short time if they’re deemed ready but the lads like Marsh who have been kept in house as depth for the first team are beyond that they should be playing league football. There's always the non league loan
He missed a lot of last season with injury so perhaps we’re not pushing him too quickly. I did see him (via the stream) as a sub for the U21s at Sunderland.Beattie has to move up to the 21s he must be too good for the 18s.
