Not going to try and do a deadbat as my recall isn't good enough. Just a few observations.
George Willis - definitely better than Long at the same age, he is not better at shot stopping BUT he is a far better talker and organiser than Long is even now, plus his decision making in when to come out seems better than Long's at a similar stage in his career.
The back 4 (Hodder, Evans, Banton, Kedman) all seemed a little weak in the first half, especially Kedman (who looked about 11) and Evans who just seemed to struggle. All did better 2nd half.
Midfield (Smith, Whitehouse, DiMaio, Johns) did reasonably well although Whitehouse disappointed me, I used to watch the U18's every home game and he seems to have stalled in his development. If Johns could cross as well as he runs with the ball he'd be one hell of a player, deceptively quick with the ball. Smith ran at them well in the first half but again lacked a decent final ball on a couple of occasions.
Front 2 (Eyre, Khan) both impressed although unsurprisingly given their age they lacked a bit of strength.
