A top player like Campbell needs to be snapped up immediately if they've a chance of getting him, make a good sensible bid £8- 10m should do it, no messing about and let someone else steal him, he's up there with Trusty as a quality signing, come on, I've got the car started already!

I'd certainly be thinking that if we need wages to come down and we also want to develop players, then bringing One into the squad and getting a fee for Campbell is the move to make.

Do you go with Bamford, Cannon, One as strikers knowing quite often you'll play O'Hare just off Bamford and potentially bring in one more? Or do you also see if you can get a fee for Cannon and have more of a reboot?

Not sure the next level of youngsters is ready to step up. Perhaps a winger who can also operate down the middle. Or another Championship out of contract punt like Josh Maja, Carlan Grant or similar.

It makes no sense to sell. It will leave us needing to bring in 2 or 3 strikers. We won't get any sort of decent fee for him. And he is a capable player, even in bad season will get you you 10+ goals and assists if starting. Really not bad for your 3rd or 4th choice striker.

I think Campbell could definitely become good again but he leaves on a free after next season so will likely be one of the ones we try to offload. On far more money than people like Brooks and Peck too so may help us keep them

Strikers have the same job as everybody on the team - help the team win. I couldn't give a shit if one of our strikers didn't score all season if we got promoted. And that last paragraph is laughable

Happy to let Campbell go, but concerned fee wise what we could do with it as probably pay a players wages for a few weeks or so. Potentially a swap deal for Bojan Miovski could be offered. He hasn't had the best of times there but his goal/assists show he is capable of playing more of an advanced role and he has scored some decent goals too. 4 goals in 24 appearances although not setting the world on fire it is better than some in our squad currently.

I dunno, if Rohl subscribes to the "played a couple of blinders against us" school of scouting a Rangers move is more than possible. And this season's Campbell looks every inch a Rangers player.

Question is are we risking them actually getting a reprise of last season's Campbell? Or was that a one-off?
