Two (sort of) positives today

RND’s return to the side is indeed a positive but has also unmasked something really depressing.

He’s the only player in the side that can actually run past his marker. Blokes been injured for a year, turfed out on loan for another year and hes come back as the best ball carrying player in the team.

Get Phillips in the midfield too, he’s looked much better in the last two games than he did in his spell last season.
I was thinking about starting Phillips, but it sounds like he might not be fit enough to start yet so I'd keep him as a sub for now.

RND looks more the player of old. And we didn't sign Souttar!!

3 - Kalvin Phillips remembers how to play football.

We looked a lot more solid when he came on and he gave us a bit of bite snapping into them and not letting them just walk through midfield like the first half.
They had more shots and better chances after he came on. He can barely move. It's a toss up between him, Jairo and Rothwell for who can move the slowest and the least

This post wasn’t even about today.

Philips was poor today.

Tell you now, he'll be poor all season. This season, knowing we are up against it is the season we needed to get up and coming cheap talent and push them, it's what we have historically done best.

I think prior to today he looked like he was improving game on game. Winning the ball back and displaying a decent range of passing.

His passing in particular was all over the place today.

Having said that I think Donovan, Mcallum and cooper (possibly Shackleton too) were the only players who did much.

It’s such a wacky division.

Only West Ham of the parachute teams in the top 8.

Boro and Swansea doing well. Before last weekend Swansea away was the only game we probably should have won!

Win later this week and we could be in the top 8 and within touching distance of the top two. Incredible really.

There has to be a way we can find to play consistently better with the players we have. Birmingham are 3rd and they’re really no great shakes either.

Its amazing. There are 24 teams who on any given day could win or lose against any of the other teams. Over the course of a season, consistency is the difference between promotion and relegation.

If this squad can build and grow together over the next month or 2, after Christmas there is the potential we go on a run and do well.

This squad has equal potential to not build or grow and languish in the mid table.

Win, lose or draw hey... ❤️🤍

Bonkers league, it always has been but especially so this season. Cardiff are 18th on 10 points, yet 4 points off QPR in the play-off positions, (8th) on 14.

As shit as we have been so far a win tonight puts us potentially in 7th spot and 2 points off 3rd...

Has anybody called it as a “poor league” yet? Seems to get earlier every season.

At the start of the season….many YouTube experts were calling this the toughest Championship in years.

They generally look to club size….and this season there seems more bigger clubs than usual….so they auto assume it must be better.
