Twitter Says Gary Hoopers is in talks

Can no one see what's been going on? Rumours that have made it on here have more than likely been started by a pig who knew that they were in for the player and not us.

I'm amazed that it has flown over the heads of so many of our supporters. These are players they can realistically get and we can't.

Oh but hang on he's a striker in't he? If we had actually signed him this forum would have been in meltdown cos he's not a centre half. Like they were cos we signed Billy Sharp when we needed a centre half. Like they were cos we signed John Brayford when we needed a centre half.

Yes but when he was first 'linked' it was before we'd signed Sharp and Sammon (whom Hooper is far better than).

maybe but if our priority is still CH and CM what's the point moaning about not getting Hooper, he was never going to drop to L1 anyway and he would have mad to do so.

Absolutely, indeed when the story first came about I likened it to us getting Diego Costa.

I just think it rams home how far Wednesday are ahead of us that he'd never consider coming to us but they've managed to sign him.

Guess it does a bit. Not that long ago they were on the verge of administration either. Much as I can't stand Megson I though it was bad how they got shut of him and brought Dave Jones in, but actually it did work for them and got them out of this diabolical league. So we tried the same with Wilson and ....

They are the league above and have more money... not really surprising he has gone there.
 
Do some work with his Nan and his Uncle sometimes. Shame as I could've Joined the ITK gang;).

We didn't try the same with Wilson. Megson was replaced by an experienced manager who was then given funds to bring loans in. We just got Morgs to 'sort 'em aht'.
 
Interesting hearing wendys on RS last night saying similar things about Hooper as some of out fans (not me particularly) about Hammond - unfit, ineffective, didn't look interested. Probably as well we didn't do this deal.

He missed a golden chance against Stoke the other night.

I think Sammon or Billy would have buried that one.

Have a think about that, they nearly went bust 15 years ago and yet still they are willing to pay loan signings that much.

Speaking of pork it looked like Hooper has eaten a whole pig.
 
According to pork reports he is fat, slow and lacking of decent touch. That worked out nicely for all concerned :p
