Let's be honest. We all knew this day would come. We all knew we were in a false position. We all knew we lack quality. We all knew offensively we were poor and the 1-0 wins would catch up with us. Despite being played off the park in the 2nd half at Crawley, despite Scunny playing us off the park for 25 mins before the end of the 1st half when they hit the underside of the bar, we won but we knew deep down we are not good enough.

This is a transitional year. Said when we got relegated, would take us 3 seasons to get back. Of course this assumes DW and his merry men upstairs learn from this.

It highlights how threadbare the squad is in terms of quality. We seem to have sprung a leak since the Scunthorpe game when Collins got injured - 3 against Hartlepool, 2 against Doncaster and 2 today. We also lost a centre forward on form.

totally agree putney, no suprise to me how we played today its been the same the last 3 games iv seen and if we stay the same it wont be the last time we taste defeat at home against such elite opposition this season

I am afraid we lost today because Yeovil arer apparently a better side than us. They were stronger, faster, had more chances and looked technically better. I think ultimatley, due to us being cursed, our long term injuries will have totally done us this season.

It's not the long-term injuries but a lack of strength in depth.

Indeed, but we had rythym going in the side. The back four were giving Long virtually nothing to do and Miller was really starting to fire. Even if we had depth it would be asking a bit for them to come in and hit the ground running.

Every team gets injuries over the course of a season, and it is no good having a strong first XI and no back up, as it is this time of year when injuries start to bite and you need to be prepared!

I see what your saying, but we have been ridiclously unlucky with injuries. Howard out for months, Collins out for months, Miller for the season, Hill for 6 weeks, the near 2 month absence of Kitson. Thats more than you would expect in half a season!
