According to the OS we've got Tyrone Berry and Bryan Hughes playing for the reserves tonight. Got to admit I don't really know anything about either of them. From wikipedia, it looks Hughes is 33 now, an attacking midfielder who was last with Hull. Berry is apparently a winger, 23 years old, released by the mighty Forest Green Rovers last month. Here's hoping he's a lower league gem, can't see it though.

I think we'd taken a look at Berry in the summer, his name rings a bell anyway. He's probably only training with us.

Hughes has never really stood out for me, but with the lack of depth in the middle of the park I can't see it being a problem if we signed him on a contract to the end of the season.

The problem with signing Hughes I suppose would be his fitness. Would he play, or disappear like Little?

So basically Ryan France mk2 and a Forest Green Rovers reject.

Delightful.

There were probably Wolves fans calling Michael Kightly a 'Grays reject' last year

The difference being Kightly was only 21 and had been banging them in, yet Tyrone Berry is now 24 and has floated around the lower leagues playing a few games for each team, and has since been RELEASED by Forest Green Rovers.

Well they both scored and Aksalu got another 90 mins in a 2-1 win.

Hughes was a decent player a few years ago but whats the point, we have Harper, Williamson and Monty who in my eyes are all ahead of him. No point bringing in extra players to an area where in terms of personnel and ability we're not that awful. Smacks of another Matthew Spring!

As for this other lad, as someone rightfully pointed out, it is unfair to compare him to Knightly.

I wonder if in some cases it may be a case of doing a mate a favour by getting him a few reserve games for their club to get them in the shop window? i.e. SUFC have no interest in signing either player.
