Hi I was wondering on this forum if anyone has his autograph because i would love to have it because he looks so cool with his beard was he a good player

You didn't fuck with Trevor , Hard as nails that man !

Remember that on John St., Triumph Vitesse, if memory serves.
Not sure - as an awestruck bairn I just recall the magnificent spectacle of it all- motor, coiffure & threads, although if it was a Vitesse TH goes (even higher) up in my estimation
My first ever car (1978) - absolute flying machine until the floor panels rotted through & had to keep my knees up to avoid copyright infringement of the Flintstones !

The material on the car was courduroy
Corduroy, my memory of the car roof doesn't register that, though I stand to be corrected, where are the motoring enthusiasts.
It was a bit of a fad at that time and it did feel like fabric as I ran my hand over it whilst parked on John St.
As a side note I bought corduroy trousers from Horns early '64, reight ice breakers, happy days. :D

'Velvetex', thanks for that.

Standard or velvet corduroy though? 😉

I’m pretty sure it was green(ish).
I used to serve him petrol at the Blue Star garage on Ecclesall Road.

Velvet has much finer ribs than standard.
Another school day.
Over the years had several pieces of clothing made of corduroy. First long trousers were cords at around 8 or 9 years of age though didn't wear long u'ns regularly till I was13'sh.
When around16 years old, my mother, after shopping in C&A's, came back with a cord overcoat light tan and I hated it.
Thing itself was well made and looked good so it came in when trying to portray a beatnik persona after I left school.
Wore and wore that coat as it was lightweight but warm and almost indestructible but was eventually stored whilst I resided in climates where such items were unnecessary. 🥱
Returning to a more civilized life, I had it cleaned and dyed dark brown and still have it in my wardrobe to this day.
Great for match days, windproof and with a good jumper, warm on colder days and if I spill a little beer, God forbid, it don't matter so much.
Getting back to the trousers the ribs were alternately continuous then dotted rather than all ribs being continuous. Although I say it myself they were a bit special, of quality material and make.😴
Strange as it may seem the coat is velvet and the trousers were corduroy according to your in formation.

The Vitesse was a marine type blue with a black Velvetex roof.
Recon it was this colour but hard top not convertible like this photo.1969_Triumph_Vitesse_Mk2_Valencia_Blue.jpg
