Apparantly, according to that idiot Giddings Trevor Birch is on FH tonight to answer supporters questions
More spin like McCabe, Bullshit from Blackwell or the truth whatever that is!
Depends who's asking the questions but I am not holding my breath
Giddings spouts garbage and wouldn't recognise a searching question, Bennett is a self opinionated git and Walker tends to be controversial over minor things and doesn't raise the important issues!
I suppose it's an easy ride then for Sir Trevor!!!

Hmm, they said on Tuesday they'd give us a few days notice to get questions in, as you say, the answers will have already been prepared.

Mind you, let's give him a chance, see if BB's faith is well placed ;)

Be good if someone could call in with the questions we raised in the topic the other day.

Not me, I stutter like Gareth Gates under pressure!! ;)

I've started drafting the letter from the questions you put together the other day, but will listen tonight to ensure there'll be no cross-over of questions.

The draft of the letter will therefore, be online tomorrow.

Come on Fiery, Birch hasn't even spoken yet and you're predicting what he'll say.

Its no wonder we don't hear from the club when we have a go before they speak.

Give him a chance and see what the new man has to say

I think the problem is with the format of the show. Whichever of the three stooges is present will give him an easy ride and try and get as far up his arse as is possible.

It's the same whenever they have anyone from any of the local clubs. It is, usually, a complete waste of air time.

Far better to send a letter and see what comes back if you want to hear anything of note.

I can't disagree with that Grecian!

I wonder when RS read the forums in South Yorks they take note from comments.

They always try and keep the peace but end up sounding like lapdogs... They only time they show some balls is when they rip into fans and give their opinions

If Birch isn't asked the right questions then its a waste of time.

I don't normally listen to FH in the week but will tune in for this anyone know what time? is it 7pm?

I'm not having a go just really anticipating the same old same old etc mainly down to the fact of the quality of the interviewer (or lack of it in Radio Sheffields case)
I get very frustrated when Blackwell trots out the usual we are looking to get in quality on a permanant basis and finishes up losing the best two defenders we have and replacing them with even more loans.

Come on, what do you think he's going to say?
Recession, cutting cloth, don't want to be another Leeds, Southampton bla, bla, bla.
I actually think it's a shame we can't go into administration as that's the only way we'll shed the debt we now have unless McCabe decides to write it off.
We've had it financially and now McCabe wants his money out, that's that.
Quite how we've got ourselves into this situation when we've had the benefit of a £20m boost from Tevez is another matter.

But its neither Blackwell nor McCabe that's being interviewed. Perhaps Birch will not be a clone of either and may have his own style

Good job you put a smiley after that Swiss!! You aint so bad for a clapper!!!!

Sounds like it's been pre-recorded rather than the Q&A they mentioned earlier in the week.

Don't let Ollessendro write the letter or it will never get aired

Quickly typed up while eating my tea:

Financial position is well documented in accounts - effectively £22m bank debt against non-football assets, hotel and other property around ground.

Loans £26m effectively loans by McCabe and Scarborough and McCabe family.

No bank debt against football assets.

Birch's remit is to ensure that the football club can stand on its own two feet. Assist McCabe in finding investment. McCabe has already said there won't be any more money coming from him.

McCabe feels he's taken us as far as he can with his loans and shareholding of £50m. The time is right for him to say the club has to stand on its own two feet. Birch's job to put the club into the shape it should be.

Wage bill is second only to parachute-payment clubs. Player investments is a two-sided coin, transfer fees and wages. Our high wage bill means that any payment comes in pays our wages. Our wage bill is an indication of our wish to achieve promotion this year.

Thinks promotion is realistic if all players are fit. Thinks KB has performed a miracle with 19 debuts and all the injuries and the fact we're in 6th is testament to his managerial ability.

Every club other than Man Utd is a selling club. We're probably about break-even as far as outgoings and incomings as far as pure finance is concerned.

Promotion is not imperative but nice to have. Not the case that if we don't get promotion, it's all over.

In summer, we'll look to adjusting player spending to account for McCabe taking more of a step back.

Long term strategy is playing consistent football in Premier League. No other objective for an ambitious club. But we have to get there through our own resources or take on extra investment.

Search for investment hasn't yet started but going-forward, Birch will be looking.

McCabe wants an investor to come in alongside him.

Foreign teams. Chengdu is the only one under SUFC. There has been investment but more in the property aspect of Chengdu. Not "substantial" investment in Chengdu. It hasn't stopped United spending the money they want. There is a limit to what we can spend on United.

Not getting WC was a blow. May now be a delay in ground redevelopments. Promotion may accelerate it but the team will take precedence.

Walker. Can be recalled if both clubs agree to the clause being inserted in the loan agreement. It was agreed with Spurs.

The board's ambition is to get promoted.

Message to the fans: Hope they continue to support the team. On its day with all our players fit, we're a match for any team.

Well, honesty I think, but wrapped up on silver paper.

Basically no more investment from KM.

I think the phrase is "WELCOME TO THE WILDERNESS YEARS"

A shorter summary is we're £50m in debt and more deep cuts are on the way.
I was surprised he wasn't asked how we could be in such a state when we've effectively got another two years in parachute payments from Tevez but c'est la vie.

I guess they key question is how much are we currently losing which is subsequently being subsidised by McCabe.

Re the wage bill, we must be playing a few average players a far too decent wage.
