Travel to Port Vale

I fancied this one, but I'm without a car and train options seem limited. The official away transport leaves at 10am, which seems very early for a 3pm ko.

I'd normally just take a walk down and jump on a coach or minibus from the Railway or Sportsman, but the Sportsman's now closed and I don't know if the Railway still runs them.

Anyone know if there are any unofficial coaches / minibuses running from S2 or nearby places like Woodseats?

Handsworth supporters run coaches from cross keys, stopping in Utoxeter for a few first. You can no doubt just turn up, bitter than. 9:30 off though and that it's earlier than the official supporters so probably no good. Plenty of ale to be had mind

I'm going to be Hitchhiking from Sheffield for this one, so if some of you could go the route of the M1 and then across the A50 I'd be much obliged.

Cheers for the info Alcoblade. The Handsworth bus sounds a better proposition than the official transport, even if it's leaving earlier. I'd be surprised if there's no bus from my end of town though. Wonder what happened to the Sportsman SC after the Sportsman closed.
