Transfer kitty

CW is far too canny to broadcast to everyone what his kitty is. If you tell everyone you have £50 mill to spend it makes negotiating reasonable transfer fees even more difficult. Just saying we expect to be spending in the same ball park figure as Norwich, which is probably a modest amount considering the projected PL income, is an easy way of not revealing his true hand which in actuality may be rather better.
Based on past experience I am confident he will do what is necessary to keep us up.

He hasn’t actually said what is transfer kitty is, he admitted that he doesn’t yet know.
Agree with you, if he did know then he’s not going to reveal that figure.

His exact words were “I EXPECT it to be in the same ball park as the figure Norwich were reported to be spending”
So that means he EXPECTS to be given around 20 million to spend.

He also admitted that he’s already drawn up a shopping list based on that figure and given it to the club.
20 million to equal to the lowest spending, more cautious teams that have recently been promoted, so he’s expecting us to be in that bracket hence the relatively low £20 mil figure. Think CW could do a lot with that amount though.

Hopefully we'll get a decent couple of loans and free's.
The point I was trying to make about 10 million players was, if our budget is a reported 20 million, were not going to blow it on two players are we?
We prob need at least 4 out of that?

He’s submitted the wish list of players to the board so after tomorrow we can forget general chat and all transfer to Rumour Board

A £20,000,000 budget sounds pathetic by premier league standards.

He'll surely get more than £20m, that would be pretty poor for a club with any aspirations to build. Don't think it'll need to be 3 or 4 times that but surely £35m not including wages, we need about 6 players, I know Wilder and United find gems but 6 Premier League players for £20m is a push.

I heard an interview and he said somewhere between Cardiff and Fulham. I’m not sure if he meant money or the amount of players they brought in.

As I have said before on this Forum it's not how much you spend but who you recruit. This season we nearly paid £5 million for Waghorn. In the event we got Didsy for £0. Which was the best? According to recent CW interviews we paid £1.2 million for Norwood. Should we have spent the (repoprtedly on Wiki) £10 millioin fee Leeds are paying for Bamford instead? Hopefully CW/Mitchell can pull a few more rabbits out of the hat!!
