Neil Warnock and new signing £2.63m Claude Davis

'He ticks all the right boxes. He’s big, strong, a battler and has a real hunger and desire to succeed'
(Warnock 2006)

Be nice to see a centre-back of some description walk through the door though.

Not that there's any urgency or owt, I mean we have got a promising 17 year-old can play there. And there's the tea lady of course...

It'll be one of those new fangled formations that play without a Centre Half, the biggest tactical revolution since tippy tappy.

Or I could be talking out my arse, as usual :)

We certainly seem like we're headed that way.

Anyway, far, far more important things on the agenda than lack of centre-halves. Like whining about some fucker who let us down years back not being given a red carpet welcome here along with the keys to the freedom of the city.

My "official" take on that is he has done his time, let him get on with his career. The likes of Lee Hughes did far worse and carried on with their careers.

Now onto my personal feeling and opinion. Fuck him. If he'd kept it in his trousers I think we'd have gone up. At the very least he is as culpable for our failure to go up as a missed penalty was. But no, he thought he'd go out with his bellend mates and act like a cunt.

So rightly or wrongly, in the Court of Crab, fuck him and fuck the horse he rode in on. He cost us so he can fuck off. Crack on by all means, I'm glad it's going to be somewhere else.

How much did Ken McNaught cost? I liked him. When I was a lad he was "the best player the Blades ever bought"

Your Mum was making your Ovaltine too strong :)

Yes but he could score with his head, his foot and was so good he could score with his nut. Which is the same as head but used again for the purposes of the song. If my memory serves me correctly he was probably only surpassed by Sam Allardyce in noggin size terms, maybe Joe Royle at a push.

I'd have said Joe Royle's head was bigger than Fat Sam's but I haven't measured them.

Those were the days. Now we have to be happy with free transfers and loans

I remember there was a players quiz match between Claude Davis and Rob Kozluk in one of the programmes for the 2006-07 season. Claude only got one correct answer from the 10 questions. In response Rob gave daft and hiliarious answers so that he got 0/10. Brilliant!

I've heard there's a useless Portugese winger looking for a last pay day and we are just waiting for him to get back to his club before he signs on the dotted line for one last big payday.
Can't tell you anymore or I'll get the postman the sack for opening United's mail and reading it.

Won't be seeing those kind of transfer fees paid out for a player for years to come.

Don't worry Toronto
I'm sure that by the time we get back to the Premier League and the average player costs a hundred million pounds I'm pretty sure we'll be able to scrape £2.63 million together to buy the Claude Davis's of the day.
Then after spending such an extortionate amount of money on one player the club will moan from the top of the boardroom down to the most downtrodden fan about the ridiculous cost of players and their wages, then blaming agents and calling them all cunts
