Deadline Day Transfer Deadline Day 2016 - Discussion

One full transfer, and a couple of loans and that will be done.

Think we will bring in a couple of defenders and a left winger.......

As a number of users appear to enjoy creating multiple threads on the very same subject, I've created a deadline day thread which should be used for all discussion regarding transfer deadline day - 01/02/2016.

Threads created elsewhere in general chat, other than those confirming any incoming/outgoing will be merged into this thread to allow for easier reading of the forum.

For those who don't know the timings...

English clubs have until 11pm GMT on February 1 to finish off any last-minute business (unless of course you are a "big club", then you can usually submit everything late and get away with it ;)), as January 31 falls on a Sunday, which is classed as a non-working day.

In Spain, the transfer window shuts on the final day of January, meaning any deals between English and Spanish clubs must be completed before the English deadline day.

The French and Italian transfer windows shut on the same day as ours, but in Germany clubs have an extra day to wrap up their January business as they have until 5pm on February 2.

So your saying we have less than an hour to get the messi deal done?

It'll be interesting to see where the current crop are in five years time - and if they can match the achievements of Collins's teammates in Roygbiv's great new thread

  • He is currently playing his trade in the Chilian second division with Coquimbo Unido.
  • He only made two starts at St Andrews however and now plays his football in his birth place of Perth, for Perth Glory
  • Now in his 4th season with Australian club Central Coast Mariners
  • charged with affray when he challenged police with a meat cleaver. He was also charged with possession of a Class A drug. His sentencing is to take place in February of this year
  • He is currently back in his home country of Malta playing for Xewkija Tigers and is currently head coach at Xewkija Tigers Football Nursery.

It's the omitted part of the other stuff, that you've stated.....ooh a couple of times.

Anyway, enough of you and your selective memory.

Back to the (so far) enjoyable thread.
You effectively just called yourself a total virgin fuckwit.

And the best part is you're still completely oblivious to it.

The best part is that my memory is better than yours.....

Now run along champ.

Are you sure you know the intended recipient of that?

I'm awfully sorry, I haven't got a fucking clue what you're on about.

Feel free to provide the answer on another thread. Or we'll end up ruining this one, and I know you wouldn't want that.

I'm genuinely not sure which is funnier:

  • the (in)famous flounce
  • bitching about being banned for 2 days, before reaslising you forgot your password
  • the constant "LOOK AT ME" desperate posts on every thread
  • your attempts to pick a fight with other forum members, when you're known for having bottled out of one

You know, you could just do one, wait a week, start a new account and start over. But then, the conversation wouldn't be all about you would it?

Very good Barney, you've just out logiced him! :)

"Well I said we were only interested in players that were of better quality than we currently have, which is why I'm delighted to bring Oprah Winfrey in to partner David Edgar at centre back. We were also trying to get Lorraine Kelly in as a decent wide player, and Graham Norton up top but we just couldn't get them over the line. We'll revisit in the loan window, stretching to play in the play off final"

adidas Tango'78® excellent

anyway, did I read somewhere that English clubs have until 11 o'clock but Welsh clubs have until 11:40?

What the 'ecks that all about? Further west?

It makes about as much sense as swapping Scots Pounds and English pounds at different exchange rates which I have heard happens sometimes.

Get you're JTW Excuse Bingo cards ready folks...

I honestly think we will see at least a couple of players come through the door today as opposed to the usual let downs.

The reasoning behind my thinking is that the manager and his team have been working hard to get players who aren't in his immediate plans out of the door. I think this has been done to pave the way and free up wages to recruit.

I'm not saying that we will go transfer crazy but I think Adkins is going all out of get a couple of quality players in through the door.

That gave me an idea. Roygbiv should do a "view from S24SU". That would be a classic blog.

Poster on BM posted last night a rumour (mates mate spoken to NA) that NA is going for 3 in and 4 out

Strangely enough, the 3 in appears in the Star this morning:

Poster on "We are Blades" board reckons Cloughy is in for Flynn

I reckon Donmny might sign Scougall and that Portsmouth might sign Higdon. Just going on previous interest before they signed for us. Here's hoping anyway! As for the ins maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised?!

I'm surprised a League 2 team hasn't come in for Higdon.

The dilemma Adkins and the club are in , is that we have a core of players who would rather be sat on there arses collecting there wages , than playing football .

Bit of a stalemate at the moment . Let's hope Adkins has some success this JTW / loan market, both in comings and out goings .
