Which idiots have caused us to be sat on Stockport station for 30 fucking minutes?

Disruption due to football fans is the official line.

Can't we just go home without people acting like cunts for no good reason.

It wasn't us, but then I was on a train to Birmingham New Street. Here's what I said on FB about it:

"This evening I had one of the most enjoyable train journeys I have ever experienced. Anybody who tried to leave Liverpool - or indeed tried to get there in the first place - today will know that the trains were knackered all day, in every direction, and from every company. The result of this was a very crowded train from Liverpool to Birmingham New Street, and we made it rock!
There were Sheffield United fans - well, two of us - Everton fans, Wolves fans, a Man Utd fan, and some poor innocent bystanders, and we shared insults, jokes, drinks, songs, abuse, and an all-round very loud but incredibly entertaining LAUGH! I was disappointed that I had to leave at Crewe."

Was it the Everton manger jumping off a bridge!??

I thought you'd known him for longer than twenty years. 😊

As I wrote the 20 years, it made me shudder slightly, I was middle aged in those days :)

Even a ghost writer?

Done this one before, but there was a Viewpoints corporate day in the posh seats, probably about 2002. There was a quiz, our table won it and the prize was a signed copy of Greenwich’s book. Cries of horror and “is there a second prize and can we swop?” much to Kevin Gage’s bemusement, who was MC.
