Health and Safety? Too may fears One of them will be pissed and fall off the balcony?

Clue

They will then take a stage which will be set up outside the town hall steps to greet the crowds at around 7pm

People may have posted about this but seen United are not going to be on the balcony but on an elevated stage near the steps. Not happy about this.... The whole point is the players go on the balcony and everyone can see it...anyone else annoyed about this? Get tweeting the mayor and Sheffield City Council!

Maybe a result of Freeman climbing on the balustrade two years ago, Health and Safety and all that

I bet one or two still end up on there.

I have it on good authority that the Blade who went through the bus shelter on London Road has been booked for the balcony.
He will be attempting a forward two and a half somersaults in the pike position. I'm sure we all wish him well.

(Seriously though I'm really relieved that he wasn't seriously injured and hope it didn't ruin his day. Enjoy this weekend fella... safely!!)

Be good if it was based at Herries Road garage and had to make its way to the city centre via Penistone Road

you'd need to be The Terminator to drive it through there

Balcony or not in all honesty the Town Hall couldn't be less handy these types of event given the street layout. Unless you are directly outside on Pinstone Street or not too far up Barkers Pool you've no chance of seeing anything.

I know everyone isn't a fan of the bloke (I personally am), but I wonder if Magid Magid will chuck a United shirt on today. Wouldn't surprise me.

If he does he'll be in the crowd with the rest of us, he isn't the Lord Mayor and he isn't a councillor.

Didn't think he'd stepped down already. Assumed he had a couple of weeks left.

Fair enough.

Only reason they are not going on the balcony is the whole chuffin town hall would collapse when when the team kicks off with "Allez Allez Allez Allezzzzzzzzz"

He was front row at the Crucible last night as they usually are.

Perhaps he'll be pissed up on the bus with Chris wearing his backwards yellow cap ;)

Not allowed on the pitch, not allowed on the balcony - what is the world coming to. :)

He also responded to fans’ pleas on social media to let Wilder fulfil his dream of wearing the Lord Mayor’s famous chain.

“Oh yeah, he can have it,” Magid said. “It’s only worth like a quarter of a million pound. I’m sure we’ll be doing something, some event.

For those who can't go in person it will be live on BBC Look Leeds tonight from 6.30pm.

I gather it will also be raining heavily so they may all look like drowned rats.
