Surprising really, as I though we had a few dull atmospheres last season. But I suppose when it was good, it was really good.

Personal favourites were Brentford, Derby and Middlesbrough - enjoyed those atmospheres.

I wish I could be proud of that statistic, but I suspect that it's more of an indictment of how poor the atmosphere in English football is as a whole.

Yeah, Wolves was the best away atmosphere I experienced too. Had all the ingredients for a good one didn't it.

They were complaining about the atmosphere before we visited though.
I think they made an extra effort because the atmosphere had been poor in previous games,and us beating them at the Lane added a bit more edge.

Yeah, just thinking that. We should take the pigs view and award ourselves points for this and attendances instead of bothering with playing the game.

That's what I was wondering too? What do they mean by "atmosphere"? Is it the noise? how safe or friendly it feels? how good is the view? the policing and stewarding? the refreshments? the toilets? the half-time entertainment?

Could be a combination of lots of things I suppose. Either way, it's good it's us and I think it's something to be proud of.

Wolves are included in the Premiership table but still rank lower than us overall

Bramall Lane = historic ground in the heart of the city, surrounded by many great pubs* = away fans getting plastered before the game = 'that were a great atmosphere weren't it'


*as opposed to a soulless bowl in the middle of nowhere surrounded by miles of carpark

Interesting if you click on Police for the Sty SYP are 8th best yet at the Lane they're 20th which is more consistent with their level of performance. Maybe the trams went straight through on those days and were only held back for the Steel City Derby.

As all away fans are going to be banned soon these tables will become meaningless.

Clicked on all the categories leaving overall till last. Good results on everything until it got to Police, shocking score (but not surprising consider what we see at every home game)

Overall we finish below the Tramps of S6, yet in all but one of the categories (police) we finish above them . Thanks a lot SYP.
