Absolutely. We know bogle is good attacking wise but we know how shit he is defending. We never took him on all game.
But there is also a formation and tactics issue from Wilder. Moore needs pacy players near him to be effective. O'Hare isn't effective with Moore. Subs...Peck came on and played on the right. We had to shift him to the left when raki Saki came on. Then moved him into the centre to cover Vinis spot. Why Vini came off I don't know.

It was dire. Why so negative? Seemed like we went to shut up shop and play for a draw. Which rarely works for us. We're a better side than that. Frustrating.
Sorry but this is a little overreaction. Should Wilder not have changed it when we were up there and he put Basham in MF? Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. The bigger problem was Farke out manouvered him from 15 to 20 mins in and he didn't react.

I agree with you for a change! I thought it was a tactical masterclass at ht...get them frustrated then change it up with our regular formation just after ht. Seems he was gonna play this.way for the whole match, strange.

Why not start with our best 11 in the positions that they have been playing in and getting better and better in every game to date and take them head on?
Wilders mentor would have.

Leeds away was always the toughest match of the season. Disappointed to lose but with that win they're only level with us. Leeds in my view have the best squad in the league, certainly by far the most expensive. Let's see how we react away at Boro. Back in 1990 we lost 4 - 0 to Leeds and I bet most thought our season had ended then yet we still got promoted.

Exactly this, this is where AK/CW lost it for me. Not great in game management at all.
We were poor, but on another day, that shit corner is cleared and free kick given for shirt pulling for the 2nd.
Let's not overreact, 10 games in 1 defeat and Leeds will fuck up.......they always do

The best way to beat a team like leeds who are flat track bullies is to stifle them, play with theor fragile minds and then hit them by changing it up. IMO we stifled them in the 1st half. We should have changed it up to our regular formation either at ht or 5-10 mins into 2nd half..get them thinking. We didnt.its that simple.

If that wernt bad enough :Arblaster,Hamer and O'hare were really poor! Gave the ball away like it was xmas.Moore and O'hare don't work together as a pair ! Moore works his socks off to no avail as O'Hare just doesn't take advantage of the openings he gets! his lack of pace and physicality let's us down.
It's surprising Wilder can't see that and play him in a deeper roll which may suit him better or even take him out and bench him .
We've had good start tonight we just wernt right !Another team that sat on our midfield and made us look poor.
Don't understand the criticm of Moore he's doing what he does and has always done ! No support from O'Hare that needs changing.
Maybe our 1st defeat yes but! This is not an overreaction to it
Brewster would be a better bet supporting Moore ! Come on Chris open your eyes take O'Hare out ! Moore must be getting frustrated at the lack of support! Play to his strengths with a more mobile partner

Sometimes a negative approach and line up can rub off on all aspects of your game.
Just before Leeds second goal we had a free kick in their half.
Not created a proper chance from open play, 1-0 down very late on, a chance to put it in the box, or at least get forward and put a cross in.
Instead a quick free kick and back into our own half.

Then literally right before the 2nd goal, 2 players do the worst press ever, 3 passes later and it's in the back of our net.

Good point. I thought despite all the pressure that they had first half, it wasn’t anything we could not handle. A good save from cooper, but one I would expect a decent keeper from (that he clearly is) should make. I was waiting for the 60-70 min mark where we add the pace and go at them. We didn’t want a basketball game but there has to be a point where we pose them problems and we didn’t. I’m not slagging Campbell but I would have rather seen o’hare and maybe Shackleton come off for brooks and JRS and have us have an outlet to break with pace and some unknown quantity.

There was a lot wrong last night! Just Don't understand why Wilder keeps playing

First half we got it pretty much spot in without the ball but were awful with it.
JRS has had one good game so I don’t understand the clamour for him he’s also awful when out of possession and wasteful in it.
However 2nd half we should have given them something to think about but tactical changes are not Wilders strong point.
We were not good without or with the ball 2nd half so may as well have gone a bit more attacking but. We left it too late and in football momentum and goals kill games.
It was also a game when a lot of our players for some reason were worst I’ve seen em.

It wasn't the formation change that was the issue for me. Leeds were going to pressure us back for a lot if the game. It was the lack.of pace to hit them on the break a d open there was a massive gap. Between. More and everyone else so he had to drop deeper. The persistence with o'hare,who is a good player but clearly out of form,is baffling. Surely Rak-Sakyi,Campbell or Brewster would have been better playing behind Moore
Wilder said it made him laugh when people talk about formations as it didn't matter what the formation is if players play as they did last night,so he is criticising them there, continued to big up the Leeds team and the way they played and suggested that if there is criticism of the changes he has to live with it,,so there's no way he is taking full responsibility for the monumental shite show last night.
