3-1 game.. brilliantRIP, remembered for that fantastic goal.
Agreed. Weebles Wobble but they don’t fall down for those of a certain age.RIP Tony Field. One of the best ever Blades goals with that run from the half way line against Ipswich.
Best season in my lifetimeLoved 1974-75.![]()
yes he just put his head down and ran and ran like forrest gump lolI can still clearly remember when Tony Field got the ball around the halfway line spouting " he's very skilfull but he never beats his man and theres no end product"
My mates looked at me and I've never heard laughter louder and longer before or since!
Don Revie, who was then the England manager, was in the directors box that day and there were rumours that Field was going to get a call up.RIP. Those of us of a certain age will always remember him for that goal against Ipswich. One of the best goals I have seen at the Lane
i think its on a yorkshire tv documentary called sheffield united 100 greatest goals can remember watching it years ago mainly commentry by keith macklinSilent Blade. I wonder where that was clipped from?
The very original was yes. That version no. Where that was clipped from acknowledges the very original source. That clip does not acknowledge either the very original or where that version came from.i think its on a yorkshire tv documentary called sheffield united 100 greatest goals can remember watching it years ago mainly commentry by keith macklin

A few years ago, Silent Blade JJ Sefton and myself put together a detailed compilation on the career of Woody on YouTube. It used clips from a number of sources including the YTV one mentioned. It acknowledged all the original sources and we had to jump through a number of hoops to get through the copyright. Fortunately all but one of the holders agreed to let us have. The clip quoted uses our compilation with no acknowledgement. No issue if they want to take the credit but it does make me smile. Should always as a minimum credit the source.well in that case had to be goals on sunday know keith macklin did that show every sunday.
