John Harris Stand..
John Harris Stand..
So I go for the John Harris Stand
Just remembering old times and songs, we hear some kind of Shoreham boys without the swearing and kids are wondering if we have stole songs from other teams. Apart from Walk On, which was sung back in the day by most teams, does any one remember the Blaydon races song. All mi lads, all mi lads and lasses running down the shoreham street to see Ken Furphys aces .. Excuse spelling...John Harris Stand..
Me. John Harris' aces they were known as earlier.Just remembering old times and songs, we hear some kind of Shoreham boys without the swearing and kids are wondering if we have stole songs from other teams. Yes remember it well, because we were there...you must have been running down Shoreham Street to often while we were watching TC and the boys...Your boy Waddle was not fit to lace his boots.Just remembering old times and songs, we hear some kind of Shoreham boys without the swearing and kids are wondering if we have stole songs from other teams. Sheffield United, is his pension, ah give him a job here and there, make sure his rent is payed. Send him round the schools the Dads will remember him and send them to the TC summer camp....As great a player as he was, I'm not sure he's cut out for management. At HT at Bramall Lane in a charity game, we found ourselves 3-1 down at the break. We looked to Currie in the dressing room for some inspiration and he said "Well, we're losing. Be nice if we won"
Now this is getting beyond a joke - utterly disrespectful of a SUFC employee and a seriously well-respected ex-player. TC is, and always has been, a true Blades legend - despite the disgusting reception he got from many on the kop after scoring for Leeds. He looked up at the fans, held his hands apart as if to plead for mercy and looked utterly dejected at the mob in front of him. Those Blades fans should reflect on that moment and hang their heads in shame. For your last comment Marcus - you should do the same..................Sheffield United, is his pension, ah give him a job here and there, make sure his rent is payed. Hey, I was born around the corner and as a small child snuck out with my mates, we had this way of crawling through the cricket pitch very quietly on knees and elbows to watch a match, hey do you know how hard it was not to cheer when we scored so we didn't get thrown out. We are Sheffield United, people like me will always be not some guy with his name on a stand...Now this is getting beyond a joke - utterly disrespectful of a SUFC employee and a seriously well-respected ex-player. On your knees eh? Now that's appropriate considering everything you've said................we had this way of crawling through the cricket pitch very quietly on knees
Arthur Rowley signed Eddie Colquhoun
Shame its not the tap room after the match, sarcastic bastards like you would never have opened their silly gobs unless they wanted some kind of unwanted dental work. Oh you have made me so angry, I hope my wife or Pompey doesn't read this, Grrrrrrr!!!!On your knees eh? Now that's appropriate considering everything you've said................
You need to get some perspective into your life. Take a chill pill; put your feet up and listen to some Perry Como records mate........Shame its not the tap room after the match, sarcastic bastards like you would never have opened their silly gobs unless they wanted some kind of unwanted dental work. Who else would you name the stand after then?
I get where your coming from but its a spliff and Bob MarleyYou need to get some perspective into your life. Take a chill pill; put your feet up and listen to some Perry Como records mate........
You started off reasonably Marcus. So you were never frustrated knowing what he could do languid and disinterested for the whole game, a lazy pass when we had a runner. I am not against Currie but our best ever player stand, not for me...
Yeah I am the not so white one who gets the unfortunate elbow in the nose when we score or gets the shoulder charge in the toilets and have learned not to turn around. Actually I am not so black but obviously not white enough. Who on here sits next to any ethnic people, its ok saying no to racism on the pitch but what about in the stands.I get where your coming from but its a spliff and Bob Marley![]()
You started off reasonably Marcus.
However, it's gone downhill fast.
Love a tap hole chat mind you....
Seriously, your Dad told you he was amazing...LOL. I come from that generation, we complained every week that he was lazy and drifted in and out of games, just had moments of brilliance. Would we sign him today, no way but we seem to still be paying him...
Different times, different players though CP ...My Dad saw both and would tell me about Hagan...he never said who was better, although because it was his era,i would've expected him to lean towards Jimmy...People who saw Mathews will probably say he was better than Best for instance...It's hard to compare players of different era's...TC was the best I've seen, and i've no doubt Hagan was the best of his era...Evertime we have a TC thread we have the same argument.Jimmy Hagan. Trouble is most people who saw him play are dead. TC was the best player I saw play (I missed JH by a year) but my father saw both JH and TC and said the latter was just about fit enough to lace JH's boots. Were it not for the war Hagan's tally of England caps would have far exceeded TC's.

Why are we entertaining this guy. He's a fraud 100%. You've only got to click on his avatar to see his age and this reveals he was 8 or 9 years old when we signed Currie. The guy must have an Einstein-like level of genius to be able to provide in-depth analysis of TC's match performances at that age. You've only got to look at his OP how he "complained" every game how lazy he was. From 8 yo ffs,
Well done though, you've made a mug of a few so far.
My Dad said Jimmy was better, but the problem is there’s not enough Blades still around who were old enough to compare them, hence why TC gets the nod.Jimmy Hagan.
