just got back thought an extra ten mins we'd got them. Cracking goal pleased he got an early goal. Anyone know why howard went off??

blackie gave good interview got some spanish trialists, fortune and fotheringham getting told friday

Looked like Howard's substitution was tactical, and credit where it's due to Quinny,we looked better when he was on.One thing though-when we were up against it,we lumped it like a pub team, and again it looked like Blackie hadn't got a plan B.Well done to Wardy,Keef mk2,Kyle,Monty and Morgs-all played the hearts out and were the men of the match.

Dreadful performance rescued by a goal completely and utterly out of keeping with everything that had gone before.
Last 20 minutes we played the pressure football that Blackie likes and which can overrun teams.
But the first 70 minutes showed exactly why we aren't a promotion team and must have investment.
The lack of quality was frightening.
As for Evans, he got out of jail on Saturday with his goal but tonight was an absolute shocker. The £3m tag must have been the only reason he wasn't taken off.

First half: awful

Second half: good

On balance: below average performance but a draw was deserved

Ref and his assistants were a disgrace

Quinn played well when he came on, but is obviously not the answer

Goal was a stunner

Kyle Walker makes me sad

Pretty much agree with that, we were poor.

I agree aboout the dreadful performance. We are easily beaten by a team who pass the ball around. See first half. The reason we were not 3-0 down is because we have a good defence and they had a crap strike force.

If we play better (why did a midfielder play with tonsilitis?) it is because we get the ball down and pass it. So the players can play like that. No good for 20 minutes a game.

Listen to the reports from Doncaster. A footballing side. If they had £5.6 million pounds worth of strikers like we have they would walk this league.

In the first half, I thought Leicester hit it long as much as us. In fact their main tactic all the game was to punt it in the air to N'Guessan.

It's alright going off the reports of their wonderous football. But it didn't do them or Swansea much good last year did it?

The majority of the time, the "passing play" is the defenders and a very deep midfield passing it around their own half.

I wouldn't say we were dreadful. Fair enough we weren't good enough and weren't up to much the first half, but it was hardly all that dire. It was a physical Leicester team battering us and restricting the space we had. We should be able to overcome this, but they came out with a gameplan and it worked.

Once we gained a bit of confidence and scored the goal, we were all over them and playing some good stuff.

Just a little sidenote... What was Andy Taylor doing trying to be Zidane in his own box?! :D

Foxy if that wasn't dreadful football then god help us if we do have to sit through 90mins of dreadful football, shotguns at the ready me thinks..

Personally I thought some of their passing in the first half was excellent. Some good triangular balls and players running into space. They used the long ball but only as part of their tactical plan, not the entirety of it.

That said, I do wish teams would stop trying to con the referee. They were dirty, they wasted time, but most of all they went down like they'd been shot in fairly innocuous 50-50 balls. Shame really when they proved they can play.

Desperately trying to hide the fact that a professional footballer on several grand a week could not put his right foot through the ball to clear it! Embarassing!

It's a good job he improved second half as I thought his Blades' career was ending after a couple of games he was so poor.

Yeah their dirty tactics tainted what was actually a good performance from them. Having said that some did leave the field injured but most were definatly conning the ref.

Spot on Yuley, it was some of the worst football at the Lane in recent times and that really is saying something.
Devoid of all pattern, invention, skill, passing, bite and everything else that goes into making a half decent football team.

We've sat through far far far worse just in recent memory. I'm not saying the first half was good by any stretch, but I don't understand the huge level of doom regarding tonight.

And in a nutshell we have half the problem down at the Lane.
Fans have become so inured to the shyte that passes for football that they no longer recognise how bad it is.

Completely different from Saturday.

We played some good passing football and played Watford off the park.

Aye, so you keep saying year upon year ;)

There's a difference between proclaiming it was the worst game ever seen and merely thinking it wasn't good, but it wasn't as bad as some make out, that doesn't mean i'm brainwashed or blind to things.

Besides, I thought you said they would batter us anyway? wasn't it a good draw in the circumstances? ;)

I said we would scrape a draw - as we did.
The odd thing is that anyone without red and white specs can see how poor and incredibly one dimensional we are.
For all the progressive culture off the pitch, the footballing culture remains forever stuck in a Bassett groove.
It's a shame because as a club we have so much to offer and yet continually sell ourselves short where it really matters.

Can I ask where the copy and paste was on Saturday? or did you have computer problems?

Games like this happen regularly in the championship. Teams will come and try and batter us, waste time and nick a goal.
We need to be better and break them down, but we have no devine right to simply cut through them at will, making sure we play it pretty.

When you take a step back, with no "glasses" and look at our start to the season, we could be realistically sitting on 9 points now. We aren't, we need to remedy that, but it's hardly scraping around smashing the ball forward and hoping for a bit of luck.

We had a poor first half, granted. During the second though, we played some good stuff and looked dangerous.

Leicester are not a team anyone will walk over this year. They are on a high from promotion and they have a decent squad.

sorry foxy but 1st half we did start aimlessly lumping it. We've got 5 million quids worth up front and they didn't get one decent ball to them in the 1st 45 minutes. Pearson has just said they were the best team in the 1st half and no one can argue with that

Don't understand your copy and paste reference.
We were very, very average on Saturday, as I said, and that was underlined tonight when we played a better side.
And we unfortunately exactly are a team that scrapes around and smashes it forward, it's what we see week in, week out.
To make matters worse, we are now attempting to play with two target men instead of one and the one that's any good at it didn't cost us £3m a couple of weeks back.
