As Burnley found out at Man City, when you have grafters not grafting against a well oiled machine in top gear, expect the worst.
Make no mistake, although we rattled Man U at home, their class undid us.
It undid us tonight too.
I said after the first goal, this is going to be Liverpool away all over again, and it was.
The gulf in class showed.
Having said all that, I will never be able to thank CW, AK and the team enough for giving me some of the best moments in almost 50 years being a Blade.
Of course we want better and to be competing with the best sides in the division, but City, Liverpool, Man U, Chelsea are there for one reason above all else.....money.
Spurs, Arsenal were/are there or thereabouts, but even with their spend, are struggling to keep up.
Leicester are different to the above, but similar to us.
When Vardy was out, their form dipped badly, such is the difference between their squad and the others.
CW and the team have done ridiculously well, and taken lower league players to heights that I don't think ANY other management team could have.
We need to respect the team for what they have achieved so far, while accepting that we have reached our limit.
The players know that, CW knows that, but if we end up top 10 this season, I will be rejoicing in the achievement, and not berating the squad for not satisfying our unrealistic expectations.
Well done Chris, Alan, the Players, I'm proud of what you have done for us and our club. Thank you.

Its amazing what spending a billion pounds on players gets you. Our recent spree is but a a trip to the Aldi compared to the weekly Harrods shop man Utd have

Well put, top Blade. I knew in 1992 when the PL started, football wouldnt be the same as it was and the big clubs have become bigger since then. We have been brilliant this season but that doesnt stop bed wetters in here having a "look at me" moan
