What makes it worse is that looking at the number of games or minutes he has played gives a false picture, when he has played he has been coming back from injury so even in these games he has not been fully match fit. I would like to know has he ever had a run of more than 2 games as a starter?

Had a run of 4 games last season where he played 90, 90, 90, 86mins - that then pretty much finished him for the season bar the odd cameo.
He actually had a semi-decent run last year from November - January of being available (12 games - 6 starts, 4 subs, 2 unused)

People were only offering him “pay as you play” deals in 2023 as there was so much concern around his fitness..

then we rocked up and offered him a 3 year contract ..

If you are on 20/30k per year, that's fair enough
When you are on 1 million plus pa, that argument falls apart

Most private companies pay staff 3-5 sick days full pay per year. Above that threshold SSP (max £118 pw). The NHS and Education still look after their staff, but even there, it's less than it used to be. Whilst I don't doubt Davies desire to play and be fit, it's a lovely safety net.

He's played 1,093 minutes over 30 appearances with 9 starts. I suspect he's as pissed off with the situation as any of us.
