I think the midfield is good, having stevens back on the left wing is brilliant and having billy + jags in the team gives us some leaders on the pitch - which we've massively missed... looking forward to this one.

I totally get why he's put Sharp in with the amount of chances that we've failed to put away in recent games.
I would imagine young Brewster won't be too happy tho, Billy coming straight into the team seemingly from nowhere.
The Jags one is somewhat perplexing.
Maybe he's there to do a man marking roll on Ings

On paper it looks ok - but others before have looked OK.

Something has to give eventually to "kick off" our season - let's hope it's this.

I agree, but how many times do you see an ex player scoring against his own team ?
The partnership doesn't necessarily have to click, sometimes you just need to be in the right place at the right time.

Jags should have been tried earlier in the LCB position. Experienced and a leader. My concern is a lack of game time for him.

A lack of pace is a worry . No Burke in the bench. Will need to get early crosses into the bix

That line up could easily change to a 4-4-2 if he needs to change to a plan B

It will only work if we stop having 5 or 6 passes before crossing the ball into the box. Create the chance to cross and get in into the box straight away. No extra passes and touches like we have been doing
