tell ya what guys. there's more to come from the pork next sunday. so just the kind of team we needed to play today..it'll be hoof and kick owt in red and white at swillsboro.

I thought it was a strong, efficient performance rather than pretty football. We played football when we got given space, which wasn't that often, was prepared to scrap and fight in the midfield battle, and had Preston on the back foot for most of the game.

I don't think Monty did that badly when he came on, in many way it was the ideal game for Monty, as it was a game where if we was to get something then it was imperiative to win the midfield battle and he played a part of that.

It showed a great deal of assuredness in team work yesterday
The squad is what matters now , and the power of the forwards we have to pick from , Beattie looks like hes ready , contributions all over the park towards the final aim
thats why we are winning games
If people let us play we football them off the park

worry ye not
Monty does a job , bland as it is it all adds to the pot

I will be brutally honest, thought we were poor.

Poor?? FFS. We had 57% possession and 14 attempts to 6. We weren't at our best but it was still a good performance againsta very physical and at times dirty team. We could have been a couple in front at half time & their goal was totally against the run of play - but we still dug in to get a great 3 points. Ched & Collins in particular were outstanding again.

I'm afraid they  mediocrity. You'd have thought they might have seen the light under DW and his proper football. Sadly not, they yearn to see their heroic training cone of a non-footballer chasing shadows again, just like the good old days.

What, like the good old days when we were in the premier league with Montgomery in the side and outplaying Tottenham's midfield?

exactly that.. old days.. reputations mean nothing

And that's the problem with pinchy, he cannot move on and wants to live in the past. He just really want to have a go at anyone who says monty is ok. I'll assume he does not have faith in the managers descisions.

'By far the worse player was Quinn'

Everyone knows Monty's limitations, but that's what they are limitations; they are not liabilities.

That'll be the Quinn that set up the equalizer then with the defence splitter??? and the Montogomery thats constantly gives the ball away to the opposition? maybe you should try one of super pigs fags wardlow!!!!!

If the clubs beneath Wednesday win their games in hand, then the unclean would be in sixth place, just ahead of Carlisle.

However, things don't usually work that way, though if the slide continues it could be touch and go for them - and Megson will be collecting his P45.
