had it on radio since kick off will say it sounds like weve had a good game but bad defending for the second goal sounds like the first goal came out of nowhere even edwards keeps saying the performance hasnt been bad, formation seems to be working again but playing Done in woolfords position sounds like a bad idea sounds as though blades fans are goin nuts said ones been arrested already watched wednesday and hull last night in pub and this match sounds more interesting than a match with hull nearly beating the pigs, considering weve never lost to these ever its hard to believe were about to lose them when they didnt play particularly well until they scored, as far as im concerned team shopuld pick themselves up and get ready to face clough jr at burton on tuesday doesnt sound like anyone has had a bad game either

We'll go and beat Burton, just to keep "hope" alive..albeit on a drip , life support machine, and pacemaker.

I'm sorry but regardless of what Keith has said - I find it impossible to agree that our team can play well and loose 2-0 to Rochdale. It's just not acceptable and we continue to plumb new depths.

Have to agree. I accept the performance might have been better than some recently, but over the course of the season it's defeats like this that have finished the season. Need to stamp authority on such fixtures, and as Mr Adkins puts it show some real "desire to win a game of football".
Been missing all season.

the team that he didn't assemble. He has never come close to assembling a promotion team in the football league. Don't give me this shit about how he has proven us wrong. Walking into a job where he just sit there and change nothing.

Who really cares, you need to grow up your comment sounded very child like, This is the trouble live in the past, Clough is the manager last time I looked

So what if Burton go up or they don't go up. Who cares , Clough is the past . More concerned about SUFC and our manager Mr Adkins who replaced Clough.

Perhaps Adkins thinks this shower of shit we have is all Cloughs team , Cloughs fault , not his. Blades fans have a tendency of the kettle calling the pot black and grimey arse.

Get over it , and let's support our shit on Tuesday . If we win great , if we lose - season over , and a smirking Clough , wisdom of Adkins to come .

Sounds like United gave it all this afternoon, so why haven't we been playing attacking football until now? No excuses, NA's tactics this season have been negative that why we are where we are today, problem is we give it all today, first half lots of possession, 8 good chances but can't finish - most fans have known all season that we are not good enough - End of story! END OF SEASON!

We played better than for a while, could have been two or three up at half time. They made a couple of changes... At that point we were still okay but they were coming back into it and we didn't adapt.

Then they scored and we fell to pieces and imploded.

Always thought Grant Holt could make the difference. Shows how poor we actually are then.

We just cannot put the ball away but Adkins positive vibe for us all to take on board. , we had 2 players back who could be classed as new signings.

Not all is lost we are still 4/5 points away from the play off spots . This league is starting to wobble , the issue is we are the worst of the lot .

Adkins for fuck sake , no PR spin , bullshit in a post match interview , just sort it will you. Be open and honest .

Missed Hammond maybe? - as the only leader/enforcer amongst the current sorry bunch.

Not saying I want Hammond here next season necessarily, but am saying we're totally crying out for one or two players with bollocks & leadership qualities.

loyalblade95 Matt done has played left back before and we aren't the first people to do this. He played left back for rochdale it was only because of injurys that his position changed. Also he was playing as a left wing back which allows him to push forward a bit more and think he could work down this side. Can he be any worse than woolford?

Didn't go today so had to listen on RS. & other commitments post match wouldve stopped me regardless but We Sounded unlucky today I liked the line up was interested to see how Cuvelier got on as he had always impressed me in the cameos between injuries & thought did well today. in my opinion I feel we cant be too down put in perspective Shrewsbury & Bury where we were much worse at least we have some optimism going into Burton. we played well had great 1st hour but Rochdale keeper had a blinder.

But you've got to take your chances in any game as it wouldve been game over at Half Time. Although didnt help Keith Edwards putting the mockers on it today "cant see how we could lose this" 5 mins later Rochdale 1-0. Id probably feel worse if we had a chance of making playoffs but Id given up on those a few weeks ago considering our jekell & hyde nature also considering that I believe we still have (barring wigan) the top 6 left to play & 2 local derbies I just cant see where points will come from

I have no axe to grind with Nigel Clough and I hope he gets a reasonable reception from Blades fans on his return to the lane. If people have conveniently forgotten, we were staring into the abyss of league 2 when he took over, but he soon got us moving up the table with better defending and a newly galvanised team spirit.
He too inherited another managers team but he unlike Wilson and Weir knew how to play to Jamie Murphys strengths and got everything he could out of very ordinary players like Chris Porter and Michael Doyle.
People keep banging on about him leaving us with so much dross, but this same dross got us to the league cup and play off semi finals
In just 18 months he gave us more reasons to be hopeful about the future than any manager since Neil Warnock. He got us moving in an upwardly direction again but never got to finish the job.
Yes he made mistakes but I know for sure this so called "poor team" wouldn't be as bad as this under Nigel Clough as they are under this scouse physiotherapist.

He also knew a lot of players were out of contract at the end of this season .

Keenly observed today : Rochdale first half were poorest opposition I've seen recently we should have been miles ahead. Woolford still worst player so thankfully off injured that man just does nothing at all. Flynn not far behind but allowances made for a wide man trying to play centrally. Cuvelier strong and fast and influenced the best 30 mins of forward movement. Chances in first half came from well taken shots which were saveable. Didn't create unsaveable chances because midfield don't move up quick enough to support strikers so strikers little choice but to make saveable shots. Always outnumbered by their defence. Terrible defending by Brayford and Edgar for their first. Mentally beaten after that. We simply cannot take corners , all completely wasted , can we please coach some corner taking which beats first defender ? Or bring back Woodwaaaaard ! Rochdale , who were playing for a 0-0 , couldn't believe they were one up. We duly fell apart and became unfit to wear the shirt as was pointed out by fans. A hopeless hapless spineless gutless team who lost 2-0 in a match which they should have led by at least 2 goals at half-time. I hope McCabe attends on Tuesday and after his bullshit public statement last week gets the public humiliation he so richly deserves at the hands of yet another manager who, (on the stark evidence of the incompetence of his positively useless replacement) should never have been sacked. I hope Warnock and Wilson also turn up to the match and join Clough in a joke or two about "the McCabe way" to destroy my Club. I wonder if McCabe is awake at 4am like me , heartbroken by the situation ?

What pisses me off is, i'm not convinced the players we have got rid of aren't better than the ones in the team. I think we could be in a better position if we didn't actually have a manager. I thought Adkins was a good appointment, but he's been a total disaster. For all the people who knock the likes of Scougall, Freeman, Harris and McNulty, we did better when they were in the team. Sacking Clough has backfired big time.

Hiring Clough in the first place has too. A better manager would have spent the money a little better. I'm pretty sure he got the sack because the board didn't want to give him any more money, not because we didn't get promoted. We should have been the finished article by the end of last season, ready to steamroller the league this. But we still needed several signings and the board got cold feet and pulled the plug. Now look at it. We have a squad nearer a relegation team than promotion.
