With the focus on the relegation teams results it's probably slipped our mind a bit that we could be in an excellent position for the top 6 if we win. It's the first time we can really approach the top half and go level with a few of those teams

The first derby triggered our good run

It's possible the second derby will trigger our real push for the top 6

So it would be good if we won

Don't think we'll see Peck/Arblaster again. If we can consistently field Phillips and Peck that could be decisive. But if no pairing fully establishes as first choice we have very good rotation with those 2 plus Rothwell and Riedewald

It frustrates the hell out of me seeing these rubbish teams in the playoffs. I accept getting beaten by better teams, but this season is all self inflicted.

I tell you what, I saw enough of Hull City earlier to wonder if they could fall away.

I do wonder if over the coming weeks 5th might open up as well.

It could well be one from Ipswich, Coventry and Middlesborough, plus Millwall, Southampton and hopefully us. There is time left for one of those, either Millwall or Hull to get dragged back. I think someone said Hull’s xG was being overly exceeded and it might even itself out.

Ipswich keeper walton just did a similar trick to what he did to O'hare. Moore heads the ball and walton punched him in the noggin after the ball had gone. This time moore didnt score unlike o'hare but again ref lets Walton get away with being a coward thug

I agree, the playoff teams don’t look anything special but it’s probably a bit too late to catch either Hull or Millwall. Looking like a season of what ifs and if onlys.

Guys we can’t have everything can we? Look at the other results (inc of course Coventry) that went in our favour… let’s just be happy with the fact we can send the pigs down tommorow!

We can move up to 14th, but 3 points off 8th, 6 off the Play Offs and 9 off 4th and 5th.

Time to get the hammer down now. Others are feeling the pressure. 5 of the teams that started in the top 6 today dropped points.

I don’t think Middlesbrough and Coventry are that great either, this has to be one of the worst Championships in recent years.

Last season’s team would have walked this league if played from start to finish.

Though we probably have a strong finish in us.

If he’s fit, you wouldn’t say Phillips is a downgrade on Souza, potentially the opposite.

Likewise, Bamford is more cultured and clinical than Moore.

As much as I like Ahmedhodzic, if his partner is Robinson and not Souttar, then I’d take Tanganga and Bindon to be honest.

I don’t think Middlesbrough and Coventry are that great either, this has to be one of the worst Championships in recent years.

Weird isn't it. I thought Boro would be out of sight now.

When we played Boro the other week we played really well and looked at our best in that first half and latter part of the game. Boro were just better. A level above. More organised, better passing and on the ball generally, more clinical and they wanted to set their stall out against us with a win to go top. I thought they looked better than Coventry.

Yet Coventry went on to beat them and yesterday, at home they could only manage a draw at home to second bottom Oxford. Now Coventry have a 3 point cushion on Boro and Millwall are 9 points off 2nd, although Ipswich are 11 points off with two games in hand.

This season, with 13 games to go, the current top three have 6, 7 and 9 games already. Last season Leeds lost 4, Burnley 2 and we lost 10.
