Well how good was that?! Such a team performance. Blades singing echoing all round the ground. Never been in a ground so over run with away fans since Leicester away when we were promoted, though Palace was good, but the fans more concentrated. Loved Simmo celebrating with the crowd after the second. And friendly stewards who held one poor lad who'd gone over the hoarding onto the pitch to retrieve his hat and letting him back in with the rest of the fans after a short talk. THAT would never happen at the Lane! Hard to name MoM, McDonald ran the midfield, Harry and Collins were great at the back and CHed and Cressy linked well up front. WIlliamson and Lowton had good games too.....oh, I give up, perm any one of ten, can't count Simmo, barely had anything to do.

It was a good day to be a blade in bury that's for sure, enjoyed it, great team performance, Danny Wilson, saviour of SUFC.

Time for the silent majority to let him know how we feel.

Bollocks to the Amoebae.

I think we should hold back and save it for a special occasion.

Winning at Hillsborough (if we do), or the win (if it comes) that seals promotion would be great. I think that since the start of season nobody has booed him speaks volumes.

Agreed. Not sure why RS are making such a big issue about us not singing his name yet.

I'm really happy with the way he's gone about his job, but I don't feel compelled to sing his name yet, I rarely do with managers until we've got somewhere.

The first task is still underway.

If anyone was in any doubt that he has the fans support, then the support at bury today showed that

and what support it was. Think they almost sold out of pay on day tickets. Shame all the blades werent together what a noise that would have been. Great how the players went to both ends after as well

The support was brilliant. Was very surreal to be at an away game and have Blades fans on 3 sides of the ground.

When we were singing "You've only come to see United", I couldn't help but think that we were singing it to the Blades at the other end of the ground (and vice versa) :D

What a tosser the presenter on RS was. What the fuck has it got to do with him if we cheer for our manager or not. All of us who where there today know how good our support is.
Meddling twat, just coz the wendies lost and he's a wendie he has to find something to have a go at us for. Well sorry piggy presenter, you'll not divide us.
I almost added Linz most hated word and sorry for other swearing, he's made my blood boil.

Unfortunately I listened on the way back from Bury, he was a complete knob, a complete
Smegson sycophant and knows sweet FA about what it means to be a blade. Foxy tells me the fans did sing wilsons name at Everton.

Didn't go yesterday and got in a bit late so it was 2-0 to us and 1-0 to Charlton. I turned on the old DAB and was totally unsurprised that the live commentary was Wendy. With only about 20 minutes left, I couldn't be bothered to re-tune so put up with possibly the most biased crap I've ever heard on RS - and that's saying something.

I think Seth has moved on to bigger things and didn't catch the 'commentator's' name but, fuck me, they could have put a chimpanzee with a microphone in the middle of Wendy's Kop and got more lucid comments.

'What? Only four minutes of extra time? It should be eight! Eleven!'

Jeez, I sure hope the wheels are falling off Wendy's (rusting) bandwagon, they stop dishing out thousands of freebies and RS concentrate on Sheffield's #1 team - for the 12th season running.

An excellent week to be a Blade and, for the first time, I feel the season is taking shape. Not just the Third, but also the Championship. (I'd imagine Millwall are looking for a new manager and feel that Forest are replicating us last season - sleepwalking to relegation).

Goals coming from all over is the key and we're developing the momentum that promotion-seeking teams have - strong belief, big followings which can influence refs. and spur the players to greater efforts.

Wins like the last 2 mean that the inevitable losses aren't too serious (look at Wet Sham, they've had a poor spell but are still in there).

Excellent, United.

No matter how many times you type this sort of stuff it will never change the fact that you wanted Alehouse to stay on - 'stability' - which I find very, very amusing.

I sang Blackwell's name alot by the way so not sure what you're getting at there, and Robsons, and the brilliant 'you don't what you're doing' to Alehouse last term - does that count?

We pissed ourselves on drive home when Rob Stanton? said to Megson something like " it must have been even worse to lose to such a brilliant goal ",FFS what's he expect the ginger tosser to say " yes I would preferred to have list to an og or a fluke "

In agreement with that North Yorks. See my comment in my raise a glass thread, but just to say really enjoyed it. 3'708 Blades fans occupying 3 stands. A total attendece of almost 7k, so more Bladers than Bury. When I arrived I thought, fuck me, are they United-ite's to our right (I was in the East stand) and then realised we'd filled the opposite end behind the goal. It was like watching Olypique Marseille at home with fans singing back to each other from one end to the other!?

I want to give a shout out to the friendly and professional stewards. Absolutely not a peep from them today. Like they were not there. They handled the situation brilliantly when theat numpty came on the pitch to grab his hat. They also allowed Simmo to celebrate with the fans for the 2nd. Top job lads. Don't see that very often.

It was a good team performance as you say NY. From back to front. Everyone put a shift in.

I actually really enjoyed Praise and Grumble. There were very few piggies on and the one's that came on accepted defeat gracefully. Megson was fairly humble in defeat. There was loads of support for Wilson from other teams fans and e had some good Blades fans on. Rob Staton is a bit of a plank, but I enjoyed that guy tying him in knots around 6:50. Some crackpot Blade talking about France in 1998!? ;)

Mic, not sure what your point is. I've never shyed away from the fact that I didn't think Adams should've been sacked. I personally believe stability is a key factor to success at a football club.

We now appear to have stability. By this point last season we were on our 4th manager

Proud. Just proud. Proud of our support yesterday, vociferous, boisterous and problem free. Proud of the professionalism and togetherness of our squad. Proud of the manager who has settled this basket case of a club down and turned it back into something we can all recognise again. Proud of yet another clean sheet. Well done everyone, great day out.

Was great! Struggled to find a pub afterwards but enjoyed one of the best pies over at half time :)

who cares what radio pig think?.. just don't listen to it.. it is car crash radio.. like the x factor auditions..
caller .. 'praise for united'
radio pig.. 'aah but don't you think wednesday are massive'..ad infinitum

Ahj the pies. Bloody fantastic. Best I've had at a ground. I ate 2!!

The compensations of being in the Third Division....

Good pies, good stewards, a welcoming club. The Prem has something to learn.

Indeed a great little club. I enjoyed my day out there, pie and peas and a decent pint in their little social club.

Better than most in the Premiership.
