Today was the 4th time I saw us beat Peterborough by 4 goals

I was at both the 4-0 4th division games. The away game was maybe the most complete team performance I've seen in 60 years of following the Blades.

Did Edwards score all 4 that day? Was there & it's in my mind he did.

I think of a few matches where we scored 6 but can’t think of a 6-2 .. remember us winning 6-1 at Cardiff think that was 77/78 , Northampton 7-3 at home in 4th Div , Orient 6-3 in 83/84 promotion season , Tottenham 6-1 at home in early 90s in PL , Orient 6-0 in the cup in Wilders first season

There was a 7-2 v Oldham in one of those EFL trophy games too.
But this must be the first 6-2 in 50 years or so.

Think it was New Year's day 1955 when we beat Newcastle 6-2. We scored in the first 8 minutes of the Newcastle match. My dad and Uncle mick 's dad missed all the 4 goals cos they got in the ground 10 mins after the kick off. When my dad asked for the score as soon as they got in the ground it took quite a few spectators to convince them that we were winning 4-0.

The first time we were on MOTD in November 1965, we were at the top of the league but lost 6-2 at Arsenal!

Everyone was on the pitch at Darlo and the Peterborough home game which was the last game of the season. We were confirmed Div 4 title winners then? I vaguely remember a game against Everton, a friendly at the Lane, shortly after, when we received the trophy.

Didn't we seal promotion from the 4th division with the 4 nil win at the Lane? Wasn't it nil nil at half time? Perhaps time is playing tricks on my memory though.
