Eleven players playing like they have never played together because that is actually the case. It puzzles my why, when squads are bigger than ever, we don't have a reserve league. It would enable fringe players to play together week in week out and so they would be better prepared for days like today. Most of our players had barely played competitively this season, and it showed.

I think one aspect of that shit show was the players not knowing eachother, the main issue seemed to be the complete lack of any quality on or off the ball, bar coutts and the subs.

Yep without these players having an adequate platform to perform on week in week out you can’t expect cohesion on the pitch doesn’t matter who you play against, a loose comparison could be made about our actual first 11 when we came up from league 1 as a team that had played together for a full season and people writing us off because our opponents had a striker worth more than our squad, how did that work out?

Then again CW will argue that the fringe players of a top 4 Championship team should be able to beat a National League side.
