As ever, it's the hope that kills you....

At half time, there I was thinking we were really going to make an FA Cup final. I should have known better. And then Murphy gives us hope at the end and Harry strides through the defence before unleashing a shot that bulges the back of the...oh no, it's blocked, oh and Hull have broken away and scored.

Still, we really gave it everything we had and non-one can be criticised. The first half was simply magnificent, but sadly, the fact that Hull's players are all better than ours told in the second half.

We really should now all make a big effort to get as many people along on Friday to show our appreciation and watch them hammer Stevenage. A 20,000 plus crowd should be attainable.

I was just thinking about the remaining games.

If it were me, i'd send all the loanees back, and play the youngsters with the other permanent squad members.

Perhaps, but I think the Wembley team should play on Friday and the club do a big marketing exercise to get a large crowd to show their apprciation.

I'm sure they're on that already!

One thing, I'm sure we'll have a nice kitty of funds for the summer, we've netted £1.2mill in prize money alone. Nevermind gate receipts and merchandise

Haha you'r joking right?

We sold all the home shirts in November and never got anymore in for today. Also apart from an afternoon in March you would never have guessed 2014 was our 125 year anniversary.

Marketing, Merchandise and United do not go together.

It seemed to me that when Fryatt went up front for them Sagbo dropped back between the defence and midfield and we couldn't get to grips with it.

Still, for the first time I've come away from that craphouse having seen a United performance and not some shambles or surrender.

If we are still trying for 6th, I would play a different squad. They were out on their feet at the end.

Also, it would be totally unfair and ungrateful of us to send back loanees that have also taken their turn in rotating and keeping our players fresh. That would go against everything Nigel has done, built a squad of players who believe the team comes first.

Do agree about bringing some of the kids on though as todays players may need some rest. There is plenty of time to show the team that we applaud their efforts in this remarkable turnaround.

I think there was an excellent example of their efforts being applauded today... as Hull fans were still cheering their fifth goal...the spontaneous applause that started around the whole united end and lasted until the ref blew the final whistle was magnificent. Unlike those wankers who were still scrapping at that point...

Superb performance and on another day we may just have edged it. Great game to watch and well proud of the lads.

I'm not hear on Friday :( and Harry took too long with that shoot

The big difference was Bruce could dip into his subs and bring quality players on to change the game. Nige can only tinker with what he has out on the pitch

I thought the only real difference yesterday was Hull and Bruce had more resourses on the bench to change the game. At half time Bruce certainly needed to change things, up to that point we were superb, another goal from us early in the second half would have killed them off.
