After the bad news about Miller I think this could be his chance to stake a claim for a place in the starting eleven for tomorrows game.

At the start of the season we were exited about him now it's down to him to show his worth.

Is it too much to ask to expect him to concentrate, work hard and play for the team?

Shouldn't be, should it?

If he's disinterested against Hartlepool, it might be worth considering a Cofie break instead. I'm not sure what the status is re: potentially being able to send him back, but given the inflexibility we're suffering wage-wise I'd rather free this up a little and look elsewhere if he's unlikely to step it up for the remainder of the season.

Time for Geronimo perhaps? I'd certainly start him at Oxford.

I hear what you say but dos'nt he realise his careers at stake here if he can't do it in this division he's no chance in the Prem

Maybe time to have Danny Philliskirk on the bench? If Cofie doesn't work I think it would be worth trying Philliskirk up front, rather than risking more disruption by moving Blackman forward and McAllister wide right.

I'd definitely give him a chance to prove himself. The lengthy spell on the bench might have given him a kick up the arse and made him realise he can't just stroll into a little old third tier club and run the show.

He looked stronger, quicker, sharper and more up for it when he came on vs Scunny than he has before. Plus he undoubtedly has ability. People seem to have completely erased the couple of spectacular goals he bagged earlier in the season from their memories.

Sadly, with us being in the shit league, we're going to struggle to tempt anybody much better.

I would certainly expect Cofie to be more productive playing alongside Kitson. At the start of the season he was paired with Blackman and both are very similar IMO. Hopefully playing alongside the more experienced partner will benefit him. Let's hope so anyway.

I thought Cofie did very well against Scunthorpe. Ran down loose balls, strong and fast.

He's got that "swagger" about him. Probvably cos his nob'll be about 12" slack

Last thing i would do would start an untried 16 year old against a league two defence which will kick every thing that moves. I have seen him for 15 minutes at first team level(at Coventry) loads of fancy turns a tricks but he needs to to brought into the team slowly by way of cameo sub appearances to get him ready for next season

If he is good enough he will get his chance at some stage but now the priority is to get a settled side for the run in.(without Collins and Miller)

He's 17, and given DW thought he was worth pitting against a League 1 defence recently, albeit briefly, he's clearly under consideration for the 1st team. Potentially the last opportunity outside our league games to see which players are capable of contributing for the second half of the season.

I agree totally defiantly play Geronimo start Ironside up front and Kennedy at the side of McGuire

As long as he just plays football and stops all those fancy dan flicks and back heels like an academy player competing on Soccer am.

I expect Cressey will start being far better at defending set-pieces against pool , who have old- dirty pros like Monkhouse and Howard ready to dish it out , mind you we have our own clever Fella in that department .

If Cresswell is on the bench I'll be gutted total waste of time

When Cresswell came on in the Scunny game, did he even touch the ball? Surely one of the academy players e.g. Ironside, Philliskirk will offer more, whilst gaining valuable experience.

It seems such a shame to tuck blackman back up front when weve been far more creative with him and flynn out wide.
Saturday id play Kitson as an ariel threat with cofie feeding of him.
But DW must get into the market for another striker,we dont want to end up like last season when we were short of firepower-we cant rely on porter and cresswell to get us out of this league.

I would like to see the majority of the bench made up of the youngsters.

I used to wake up in a morning with 6 inches and a wrinkle.
Now it's 6 wrinkles and an inch. Aah time flies

Sorry Gaz that didn't come out right so I'll start again

If he makes the bench I'll gutted

If he starts I'd be fuckin devastated!
HA HA! That's what i thought you meant!:D

I have to agree. The creativity seems to be coming back in the last few games.

stick phillis in. if he's utter gash, at least we will know. if he cant play with kitson, at home to the shitest team on the planet, we can pull him off (oo err missus) at half-time and get rid of him to blyth spartans next week. if he turns out to be the ghost of pele, jobs a good un!

Now we've had time for Cofie is it perhaps time for a taxi for Cofie, or perhaps a bus ticket? A sharp blow to the back of his head with a shovel? A bag full of hungry stoats?
