Plenty of strong rumours about further tickets in the morning and the earlier "there will be no more" style message has been removed from the OS.

So don't plan anything for the morning if you still need one :)

it's still on about no more tickets:confused:

Ticket office confirmed the extra 500 to me. First come first served, so good luck!

Definately 500 in morning, starting 8am:

SUFC said:
Blades fans are being warned they should not travel to Selhurst Park this Sunday unless they have a ticket.

The message was issued as it was announced United are to receive a further 500 tickets from the Eagles which will go on sale at 8am tomorrow morning (30th April).

Today Blades fans queued from the early hours to snap up 3,000 tickets which went on sale this morning - spurred on by last's night result from Carrow Road which saw Reading defeat Norwich and move close to the Blades and Birmingham City - their opponents on the last day.

Sheffield United Operations Director Simon Argall said:

"Crystal Palace, in conjunction with the Metropolitan Police, have been very co-operative in making additional tickets available to ensure that as many Sheffield United supporters as possible are able to attend this fixture.

"We must stress to our fans they should not travel to Selhurst Park without a ticket.

"Away supporters are not permitted in home areas. Ticket sales for home areas are being strictly monitored by the Metropolitan Police with the assistance of our stewards.

"The police have advised us that any away supporters in Crystal Palace home areas will be ejected on the grounds of health and safety."

Meanwhile, supporters with tickets are being advised to allow plenty of journey times as there are extensive road works in the vicinity of the stadium.

The Official Blades travel coaches have now sold out. Coaches will depart Bramall Lane at 6am promptly for Sunday's 1.15pm kick-off.

A bloody farce the way ticket sales have been handled for the Palarse match.

In all fairness, they could have handled today far better - the should either have said they were putting all 3,000 on sale, or stuck to their original plan of only selling 2,000...

As I said earlier... What more could they have done? :)

Hey up Foxy

This shud have been discussed wi both clubs along time ago and sorted.
A nutcase cud have predicted the outcum of a big last day game at Palarse and shud have been planned for.

A courier shud have been waiting at Palarse and brought up maximum amount of tickets available.

As it is now lots of Blades will be in the 'home' supporters areas of the ground.

Lets hope there aint any trouble.

But if the tickets were there, and they had enough people queuing to buy them, why send people away and make them come back again the next day? The original plan was due to the 3rd thousand tickets not being expected till later. As it turns out, anyone that for some crazy reason was intending to wait for the ones supposed to be sold tomorrow, now has the chance to try for the new 500.

There's no way to keep everyone happy in this situation, but remember that we hadn't sold out the original allocation till after the weekend anyway, so most of us had a chance to buy earlier.

Some of us live a good distance away and have jobs that aren't flexible. I for one couldn't make this morning and always planned to go for the second 1000 - and would have been really pissed off if this extra 500 had appeared.

Plan to be there soon about 5.15-5.30 - be on a black and white Yamaha if anyone wants to say hi :hello:

Biggest worry is really about queue jumpers now we're down to the last few hundred tickets - can see this possibly getting a bit heated.

People started at 1am this morning. So I'd make it as early as you possibly can!

Rumour has it, some are already in the lane car park.

debating whether to go in morning to try and get some. dunno wat time wud be early enough though! is it only two tickets per person?!

As Foxy said, he's heard that some people are queuing already....

No you can buy as many as you want, my brother was worried this morning as people around him were gettin up to 10 in one go.

Yeah - just has a message on the mobile that people are queuing already - - and I'm stuck at work till 9.45 - then it's over an hour and a quarter on the bike to BDTBL. I'll go and have a look as soon as i can - but think it's beginning to look unlikely.

Many folks going to watch it at the Lion?

I'm wondering the same thing. Dunno where we are gonna watch it yet.

plannin on goin for about 5:45ish 2mora. what do you think my chances are? am i wasting my time?

soo then... any of our all nighters returning home with a smile?

Just back from a night in the car park at the ground - but with a pair of tickets :D Rushed from Lincoln and got to lane at 10.45 last night and there were about 10 fellas hanging around - hardly a queue at all!! Wasn't worth riding back for a couple of hours kip so stayed all night.

Started off feeling really positive about Sunday (why else stand in a midnight downpour??) - but by the time day came i was back to feeling my default "Blades Pessimism" - the more I put myself out, the more it usually hurts at the end of the day!! - Miserable bugger I know - but at least the misery is familiar and reassuring! - But still hoping for the best, just can't bring myself to hope it might really happen!!

Good stuff!

I was led to believe the queue was longer than that, unless some thought better of it and went home. But better safe than sorry!

Looking at the weather when I got up this morning, must have been an uncomfortable one.

Gotta give it to you for queueing all night! Can't have been very nice. Let's hope we win and make it all worthwhile:)

wasn't too bad once the rain had passed - though when it overtopped the curb stones and started swamping the tents it started to get a bit lairy :o Time passed fairly quickly - helps when there's good company!! - that and a footy to kick around the car park.

Think the lads who got there at 6.00pm expected there to be lots of people who missed out earlier in the day and were having a second try - half suspect they went onto Radio Sheff in order to get some company down there :D - I certainly expected there to be nearer to eighty than eight!!

Given that ALL of the first 11 people in the queue were from Derbyshire and Eckingtonblade was just behind us - and in between there was a least one bloke from Derby - what is this saying about us Tups?!?!
