Thug attack sours derby celebrations

Just bought a load of Blades history from Chesterfield flea market. The above is the headline in The Star 18 November 1991, the same day that Terry Waite was released from captivity in Beirut.

He was! We were stood outside Chesterfields ground for a friendly match and he said if we played wedne$d@y he would break lee chapmans leg.

We didn't play them though!

He also had a witty name for his house but I can't quite remember it. Might have been nutmegs or something similar.

In his book Left Foot Forward, Garry Nelson mentioned Kuhly crippling him during a Charlton game. Nelson then followed his book up with Left Foot in the Grave, after he joined Torquay, and told how Kuhl did him again as a punishment for calling him dirty!
