Three subs returns or does it ?

You seem to have changed your point now. It’s now the desire of the players and not the fact that they can’t do a record 10k is it?!

I don’t think there are many players bemoaning their job.

The requests for 5 subs, drinks breaks, winter breaks and other such bollocks tends to come from managers. It’s not a coincidence that the managers are also incentivised to do anything in their power to win matches. For the top teams the additional subs could make this difference. For us it’s less likely to help and more likely to hinder.
No I haven't. Just think the same . The actual performance time of players in the league over a season is 38 x 90 minutes or 47 hours . Saying they are highly tuned athletes now is bull shit . Footballers have always trained to the peak no matter what era. Yes there's more technology now but skill still separates the wheat from the chaff. We surprised most in the prem with our team ethics not our body fat index. Our players dont moan about too many games.
They want to play. And it shows

All you have to remember in this is that Mr Klopp and the others are pushing this again for a reason and it’s nothing to do with improving the game as a whole. It is for the benefit of his club and nothing else

Defeated 11-9 wonder who the three clubs were who voted with the top 6 elite? I'll go with Leicester, Wolves and Everton.

I don’t think it would be Wolves, they have a relatively thin squad and used the least players in the league I think? Maybe Leeds thinking they are one of the big boys

Why were some of them fat then? And others were functioning alcoholics?

If anyone is telling me mouse is fitter that a Mick Jones or a John Tudor a Billy deardon I'll stand f ing .

Leeds because they want to pretend they’re in with the big boys even if it negatively affects them.

Buts that's my point they are doing 10k in 1 hour 35 on average so why should they be tired .If they come off after 60 minutes they've only run around 6k

You can't really compare distance running to a football match.

When running a 10k how many times do you sprint, jump, kick, tussle with another person, sustain high impact injuries, all against other world class athletes?

Id bet all our players would run a 10k in a reasonable time, Im not sure how many 10k runners could physically last a full 90 minutes in a Premier league game

and kicking, jumping, sprinting, jogging stand turn etc etc... using every muscle in the body, its not exactly the same as a 10km sprint, think of it more like a 10km assault course in terms of the fitness required

I feel like there's an echo in here

I hope you know the difference between the odd Peroni and Bryan Robson with a kettle of vodka.
Trouble is we know drinking still goes on and gambling and smoking . But we don't get close enough to see it . It's all in 3m pound mansions behind big walls.
Don't delude yourself there are no Paul Mersons today .

And standing around for long periods dont forget that

I think we all need to give in. blade too long is right and we’re all wrong. Modern footballers are unfit and couldn’t hold a candle to the bitter drinking, woodbine smoking pro’s of yesteryear. They are all getting smashed in their mansions and not wanting to play too many games despite being paid a fortune to do so. End thread now.

Not saying modern footballersaren't better healthier medically better looked after but none train harder than say Kevin Keegan ever did. Half of football is dedication. Yes there were many chain smoking beer swilling reprobates in the 60s and 70s but there were focused keen deeply dedicated players who won things by being fitter than the rest. That hasnt changed. Just the fact some clubs buy all the best ones now

I bet there are footballers that train harder than Kevin Keegan did. Take off the misty eyed specs for the olden days.

Judging by some of his posts, I doubt it
So your saying the majority of footballers 60s to 80s were old soaks fuelled by copious amounts of booze and were not in the same league fine as wise
If that were the case how come you never made it as a league footballer
Obviously any tee total player who trained would look world class then
So you totally ignore the players today with drink problems

Has Klopp complained about player welfare yet?
