Remember when Mick dislocated his elbow in the Cup Final for Leeds and played on with it strapped up?

Imagine most of the girls playing today doing that!!
It happened at the very end of the 1972 FA Cup final. Luckily soon after that the final whistle was blown. He couldnt go with the team to collect the cup and the medals from the queen so afterwards Norman Hunter helped him up the Royal steps to collect his medal from the queen

I hour 50 mins in. Think Mick Bates (sub) collected Jones medal thinking that he wouldnt be able to come up

If only John Harris had got to talk to Mick, he might have stayed.

A few months later TC turned up. What a side we could have had.

Definitely two of my heroes.
Harris wanted to resign after the board accepted L**ds offer. The board managed to make him change his mind. L**ds chairman promised Dick Wragg that he would vote him to be in the FA international committee

Mick Jones has certainly altered, mind you last time I saw him was a good few years ago when he was a regular at the lane, he then took a corporate role at Bell End Rd so didn't see much of him after that.
