Everyone playing happily now?

personally I just want Bartley and Dickinson to sign this week then I think we have a squad to compete, and not just for the play offs. Lowton can play right back so why bother with trialling all these right backs. Come on Blackwell, just tell him it's his job to lose and give him a chance. The confidence alone should raise his game.

Let's get the ball down and try to play some football, whatever the formation is.

in every post i've read for the last year.. when the subject of possible line ups arises, no one EVER picks quinn.. yet hoofy always does.. are we missing something?

You can't have read mine. I pick Quinn everytime (if we play football) he WAS just not suited to the style of play last year, like most of our little uns. Personally I would give him a free role from the left, allowing Cresswell to move out wide when required. Each to their own though

There's nothing wrong with Quinny. He's a little battler and weighs in with the odd goal every now and again.

At the moment he wouldn't necessarily make my starting eleven but that's mainly because I prefer him in the middle and Britton, Ertl and Monty are ahead of him at the moment. We need players like Quinny in the squad though and he will come good at certain moments of the season. He gets far more stick than he deserves!

Besides.....we cant afford to let anyone go at the moment as we have a wafer thin mint for a squad!!!!

Personally i always liked him, altough there have been times where he should have been dropped for a few weeks to give him a kick up the arse. I think the best position for Quinn would be as an attacking midfielder just behind the front 2, he has got a good football brain, can pick a pass, gets a few goals and isn't afraid to get stuck in.

There are 2 problems with this:

Up until this year we havent really played anyone in this position.

I would pick Britton in front of him at the moment, but I feel he would do a good job there as competition/cover.

I think Bartley and dickinson would make a massive difference to our squad both quality and depth, believe or not just those 2 or similar players could be the difference between a good and bad season.
