If we stop giving the opposition 2 or 3 goal starts I think our results would improve.

It does show we have a very good team in there somewhere.

First goal we can blame the ref all.we like but we should deal with the situation.

Foul on Baxter looked like a sending off.

Long made two very good saves, again, in the first half. And a couple of heart stopping fumbles one first and one second half. He's really playing his part.

McEveley really coming good. Looked injured again. Holding his pelvis before he was.subbed.

Edgar and Collins both got caught out first half - both played very well second half as their mates buggered off up the other end looking for goals.

Bash. Sorry to say but maybe the place we can improve most effectively. Distribution awful.

Baxter. Really up for it. Wins headers! Does the defending too. Needs to practise free kicks. Give him Basham's mobility and we might go up.

As a team we were getting the usual grief for not getting it forward from.some as we played it our the back through the thirds and created a chance.

Seemed to be under instructions to play first half as everyone (on both sides) was taking chances at the back. Less so later on.

Chants of, "We're fucking shit," at 3-0. We weren't..We'd gone chasing the goals and were getting through. Left us vulnerable.

The players were better than some of the fans. Again.

Clean sheets are sometimes.wildly ambitious. They shouldn't be.

I thought we were very, very poor for around 75 minutes, the odd move aside. Ball retention and decision-making seemed woeful, with precious little cohesion anywhere on the pitch. Fantastic fight back in the last 15-20 though. Stirring stuff, and bizarrely we could easily have pinched all three points by the end.

Points of note:

JMac: excellent again, though had to dig himself out of a couple of awkward situations of his own making.

Billy: fantastic turnaround, but a shame he seemed to wait until the game appeared lost before kicking into gear.

Bash: how does he go from so awesome(ish) to so awful so regularly ? Tonight he was not awesome(ish).

Sending off that wasn't: looked a clear denial of a goal-scoring opportunity to us. Their defender can consider himself lucky. Following straight after Graham Poll's "assist" for their first, this looked like another moment that had screwed us for the night and helped settle the game. Happily, not so in the end.

Adko ? 3-0 down with barely 15 mins left before we had even the sniff of a sub. Ok, he's vindicated in the end, but it seemed baffling. Nothing worked at all, barely, for 75 mins but there seemed little visible attempt to change anything at all, really, until very late in the day.

Wigan ? Our lot singing "You're just as shite" at their lot, at 3-3 = a laugh out loud highlight of the season so far.

Just back, not sure if I enjoyed that or not. Woeful for 70 mins.

Baxter an absolute catalyst when he has time on the ball. Head and shoulders above anyone else in the pitch footballing intelligence wise. Positive subs helped too, could see them visibly shit it when we had almost a front 4 near the end. Thought McEveley was excellent again.

Ref was totally abysmal. How he didn't give a red first half or Matty a penalty when he was dragged down while attempting to volley second half I really don't know. It wasn't rocket science.
The right hand side of our defensive was atrocious tonight Brayford and Edgar are getting caught out far too often and Collins wasn't much better. You and I WHF must have been watching a different game.
Jose can have a real influence given time to play but a wide man he isn't.
Hammond and Bash were ok though Bash faded badly.
If we played at a faster tempo we have the ability to destroy teams.

We were crying out for pace to run at them but Adkins did nothing until the last few mins. We only seem to go for it when we have nothing to lose otherwise we constantly go forward at slow pace then check back.

Interesting point about Bash William, needs to get his head up more. Gets the ball on the left side of their box and then just kicks it towards Done who was surrounded by 2/3 defenders, Flynny then steaming into view unmarked.

I think it's safe to say that we didn't have the best ref last night and for once going 3 down wasn't all our own doing but as Keith Edwards rightly said when the 3rd went in, we'd been 2nd best all night. Now that in the middle of Jan is a worry, we should be settled by now but we have to many that are world beaters one week then crap for 3. The defence looked great Saturday and awful last night, we have brought Hammond in who can't settle, Adams looked different class now benched, fortunately Done getting fit and firing and Billy looking good. This combination will always lead to inconsistency and I still can't see a playoff push never mind autos, this means we go once again in the summer, how many times are we going to be saying that, that is the question??.

The first half the back 4 where fucking woeful
And Basham and Flynn not much better but don't think it was last 20 mins we were better team but the full second half. We are always going conceed chances when 2-0 down but looked a lot less nervous second half and passed the ball better
