Our allocations against Bolton, Pigs, Forrest - all just over 2k. Is this the shape of things to come?

Obviously in the First Division some of the stadiums were just too small for decent allocations - fair enough. But I thought we would get much better allocations in the Championship. Seems that clubs are getting much meaner with away tickets. It can't be because they will sell out the home areas (pig game excepted) - is it the hassle or what?

I agree been surprised as well with the low allocations, Sunderland could've give us another 1000 surely without too much hassle?
Worth saying though that we didn't sell out Middlesbrough away and we have also edged on the stingy side with the allocations we've given to Derby and the Dingles.

Maybe all police forces around the country have developed SYP style brain damage?

Surely with Bolton it's a case of 2k being an initial allocation? If we could sell 4k or 5k they would have happily took our money?

Having looked at the Football Ground Guide it appears that nobody in this division offers beyond 3,000 for a standard league match.

We were probably a bit spoilt in the 3rd division because we often travelled to clubs who had sparse home attendances so them giving us 4,000+ was a useful source of revenue.

Annoying as it is, I don't blame clubs in this division for being a bit tighter. We've done the same thing by re-designating the BLUT as a home fans area after all.
Plus there's all the overwrought "safety" bollocks that comes with being in a higher league.

So, does anyone know what our official capacity is then at the Lane? When I say "official capacity" I'm not talking about how many the ground can hold, which is over 32,000 if I recall, but how many we will be allowed to sell once we've excluded all the seats in the netted off areas?

Fulham regularly offer 6-7k if the demand is there.

Fulham officially give away fans a maximum of a touch over 3K.

However they have an official neutral stand down the side where home, away and neutral fans (tourists) are allowed to mix. Clubs with large followings just buy tickets direct from Fulham and go in there.

Wonder what the SY Saftety Committee would make of away fans welcomed into the same stand as home fans?

The most Fulham officially give away fans is just a touch over 3K because that's what their away end holds.
Last season no club was allocated much more than 3K.

They don't watch the game but instead show each other what they just bought in Waitrose

Sure there'll be lots in the same boat as me - My lad's 12 so doesn't really remember us being in the Championship before. When we got promoted, he was really excited about going to Forest, Leeds, the theatre of rust etc but as he's only got 27,000 points, he's going to struggle for a lot of the games. Other than loyalty points changing to a 5 year rolling total, there's not much that can be done about it.

One of the very few downsides to our success I suppose and a small one at that. He's been to 'Boro and Sunderland which must seem a million miles away from Stevenage, Wycombe, Exeter etc.
