For those that didn't renew. It's an attempt to try and drill down into the figures. We have around 26% not renewing could the club have reacted differently to reduce that figure? i.e. sack Mr Blackwell or reduced prices?

UTB

Didn' tget poll added in time see: Why you didn't renew poll!

Wouldn't a poll be easier ?

Blackwell in particular
General lack of entertainment/quality
Price

My take on this post:
The reason for not renewing:
Blackwell still in charge
Birch and McCabe's insipid leadership
Very poor entertainment
Other commitments
Poor value for money

I don't enjoy it anymore. It's a complete bind. The atmosphere's terrible, and the football's worse. Most importantly, it's not my club anymore. I don't feel part of it now. I simply can't justify spending a small fortune and a significant part of the precious little time I get to myself pissing myself off.

So when times got a bit tough you bottled it ?

When the going gets tough the tough get going

Hardly. The going was tough away to Altrincham, and home to Oldham and Walsall, etc. Even as recently as the 2002/3 season, when I was going through the worst year of my life (personally), I still felt that it was my United, and my team. Yes some matches were a pain, and I've never particularly liked night matches, but as soon as I saw the hallowed ground from the bus or tram on the way, my mood would change to one of hopeless hope.

Could I really justify spending £150 on a trip to the West Midlands in deep midwinter to watch us slump to a probable defeat? Not really, but I would. On Sunday, I couldn't even justify spending £40 on getting a bus, having a few beers, and watching my beloved United play one of the best sides on the planet. OK, so we knew it wouldn't be a first string, but anyway ....

Hopefully, absence will make the heart grow fonder, but I'm really not sure that it will for a bit.
