How pray are they in better shape?

Superficially they are in better shape than us
But building a club is all about building solid foundations

SWFC are like a castle built on foundations of pig shit.
It currently looks good but in a year or 2 their dreams will be in ruins.

Whereas Wilder has laid foundations of the highest quality solid concrete
And now he's slowly building his castle bit by bit.
Doesn't look much at the moment but it will be something to be proud of when Wilders finished.

There getting relegated. I don't watch them of course, who does that has a working brain, but the way the fans are talking about strikers that can't work together, and Carlos' unwanting need to not change his tactics, it looks like a relegation team to me.

Carlos will be gone by the time we play them I think. The fans have totally had enough of his negative boring tactics and the pressure will become too much.

The fact is after being above us for 5 seasons here they are looking up at us and they are reacting like a lot of our fans have during the last 5 years. Utterly panic stricken at the thought of losing the ascendancy.
What I like is we had 2 years averaging finishing 5th just before we were relegated, and they have just had e years averaging finishing 5th

Slight difference being our fans were complaining about not being able to get out of league one, a pretty legitimate complaint given the club, resources and fact that we had operated as a championship or premier league for the preceding however many years.

No point turning a thread about pig moaning into a dig at your own fans.

They are truly dreading what might happen next month. I really hope Carloss is still in charge when we go there.

It was bizarre walking back through town yesterday with my little lad. We actually got grief from disgruntled pigs, can you believe that? One ugly troll near Demsey's with more kids hanging off her arms than teeth in her mouth shouted 'WAWAW' when she saw my lads shirt, and one her runts shouted something about league 1. I laughed at them and suggested they check the day's results again. Second time was a bunch of lads near the town hall, one with a piggy polo shirt on all giving us real daggers. I just stared the fuckers down grinning like a Cheshire cat.

I hope he's still in charge, so our away following can drown their rust bucket in "you're getting sacked in the morning", folllowed by him actually getting sacked in the morning

I experienced similar a week ago, took my nan shopping in Chesterfield and had my blades top on, encountered a few pigs, one sneered at me and called me scum and the other in his polo shirt that had clearly never been washed gave me a right dirty look

They honestly need to get a grip

The same ones who never miss an opportunity, however flimsy; to have a dig at our club?...

I'll have a good chat with the first pig I encounter who behaves in that way.

Not a dig .It's a fact what made being in league one worse was they were above us .
Had they been in league 2 wouldn't have seemed quite as bad

This is what happens when you persist with the Portuguese Kevin Blackwell. They've got some very talented players, money to burn, and they're going to Preston and having half a dozen shots all match. They're obviously capable of play good football when they want, the comparison seems spot on in this regard, yet the manager is more concerned in playing dour uncreative long ball.
Portuguese Kevin Blackwell? Do me a favour. He's not even the Portuguese Adrian Heath.

Our presence in this league was always going to trouble them.
We are a club that is comfortable in its own skin. The only reason the pork follow that ramshackle old club is because they think they are far superior in size and stature than we are.
Now we've bridged the gap in status, they'll start talking about crowd size. Once we've bridged the "size gap" ..........They'll be well and truly fucked.

I think they went right up to the FFP limit when they spunked £10m on Rhodes, my fear is if Wolves come in for him he will be sold to allow them to bring some players in. As things are they are fucked with a unhappy squad of dis-functional players, a manager who does not have a clue how to get the best from them and an owner who clearly will not be putting any more money into the club. Add to that a stadium which is falling to bits with close on a fifth of it's capacity closed for safety reasons which no huge blue sticking plaster can cover up. Even the kit has been a shambles Ipswich and Ikea look alike's of shit quality. God help them if they don't go up this time as I can't see the co-op bank bailing them out again when Tuna man fucks of with his money leaving them with players on huge wages that they cant get rid of.

Yes the point about Wednesday having spent up to their limit was covered on the managers P&G, Carlos stated they were playing within the rules unlike other teams (why do we bother with rules if you don't get punished for breaking them?) As for his tactics he reminds me of Danny Wilson after the shocking end to 11/12 (was it?) His nerve has gone and it's all about score first and hang on.

Talking of their 'spunking money', there's been a few clubs that have desperately spunked themselves all the way to the bottom of this league and even into League One in recent years. Spending £10m on Rhodes whilst surrounding him with garbage like Reach for £5m is a really good way to go about it.

If we had Rhodes, Wilder would get 20-30 goals out of him this season no problem.

Its history repeating itself
Blackburn spunked too much money on the cursed Jordan Rhodes and others and are now in league one
Wednesday's wasted all their allowed limit by wasting it on one player

It's been 2 years now and in his emotional farewell Mandaric promised Chansiri would better the team and do all necessary ground improvements . Hes still in the championship and has openly stated ground will only be improved with Prem money....so in other terms our grandkids might sèe it

Apologies, misunderstood the post then. Agreed it wouldn't have been as bad but personally for the last few seasons I've focused on little other than the Blades and our immediate rivals. When I saw Brentford on the fixture list I was quite surprised as they were as likely to have been in L2 than the championship based on when I've seen them in the past.

I watched their friendly with Rangers and thought how out of shape a lot of their players looked,

Interesting comment. On the phone in, many Owls commented on how unfit their side looked.

Sadly, Carlos will be gone well before we play them I reckon.

Those stamping their feet will grow in number quickly if their performances continue in the current vain. And rightly so, considering what they have spent. Tuna man will want them on side, and will sack him.

Carlos is suffering from his own success. His first season they played quite well, but lacked enough to go up. Since then, it's been big spending with little to no direction or thought. One thing he hinted at was that he doesn't seem to be picking the players he has in his squad. And that rarely works.

As they are, they will be a club which will attract attention of managers in jobs already. I suspect they will go foreign again. What happens then is anyone's guess, but the fact they cannot buy many players, and have numerous average players in very high salaries means whoever gets the job won't have an easy task. They will need a manager who can get the most from what they have..,hate to say it but a Warnock type.
But their arrogance won't settle for that....and their errors will continue IMHO.

Glad we have Wilder. Certainly won't be going into any game fearing anyone, and the attitude of trying to win every game will see us do quite well.

I honestly wish I could get grief off them, seriously. I'd milk it for as long as I could. Hopefully they'd put hands on.

I have to say that whilst I am looking forward to the derbys, I am also a tad anxious because they will be my lad's first experience of them and he is insistent that he wants to go. I think it will be rather unpleasant, regardless of the result, more so than ever due to the six year gap since we last played.

It will most likely just be the two of us and knowing how classless they are we will be an easy target on the way home. I am more prepared than most to tell any of their less cultured fanbase what I think of them, but it's a bit tricky with an 8yr old holding your hand. Positive role model and all that :)

I don't see why they are so worried.

They'll be fine.

I'm convinced they have enough in their locker to stay up.

;)

They remind me of us when we were challenging at the top of that division.

Couple of bad play off losses behind us, huge expectation of challenging at the top and lumbered with a load of journeyman aging players on huge wages.

Already on the manager's back due to hangover from the season before.

We all know what happened to us.

They're trying to bring in a centre half as well.... now where's Nyron Nosworthy these days?

Don't worry. When they win a game, they'll all come crawling out from under their rocks, phoning RS and saying 'In Caaarloss we troost!' And no, that's not like all fans. The pigs, Leeds and Scotland possess an ignorance of the game that knows no bounds.

Some of them are taking it very badly, just seen the stirs online report 'New Division Same Outcome...' comments beneath; a few UTBs and well done lads and this one, 'Your(sic) all a bunch of c*nts it's one game!'
It's certainly ruined that fuckers year!
