PorkTalk already gone into meltdown. Utterly brilliant self combustion from the Pigs.

This season is Sheffield United. Their presence in this league is sending fans delirious. The thought of the finishing above us, and the inevitable banter, is creating a monster. The meltdown following today is off the scale, and I'm convinced the main underlying reason is the antil mob at the other side of the City.

I also think this could impact on how long Carlos survives.

Fans just need to take a step back. It's one result. This league is won and lost after Christmas. Just keep in touch with the top 6, and our experience will kick us on.

FFS, chill out.

When the Blades lose we all love it but when they win we pretend we don't care what they do.

Some valid points made.

Just think the presence of United heaps the pressure on.

United were always going to do ok with that style of play, it's how Megson had us, fit and strong and the players playing for each other. People who thought they'd be the leagues whipping boys were looking at it with blue and specs on.

Absolutely sickening to think but I believe dem blunts will finish above us and dare I say do the double on us, Wilder will have them fired up way more and playing like a team.

Lot of moaning at each other today we really need to look at who has the heart to play against the blunts people like Reach will lay down and die.

Based on what exactly?

He obviously hasn't seen us play

CW plays football

Megson is a hoof merchant

Can't see what all the wailing and nashing of teeth is for, wait till you're at least 4 games in then start hooting if you haven't won a game.

Massive overreaction from their fans yesterday. I don't even think we were so full of doom and gloom after our 1-0 loss in our first game last year

They're royally pissed off not just becasue of yesterday and one game, but because this is a continuation from last season

Slow, boring football combined with hoof. No chances created for the best strike force in the division

Obviously, La Liga is proving too big for them

They are truly dreading what might happen next month. I really hope Carloss is still in charge when we go there.

It was bizarre walking back through town yesterday with my little lad. We actually got grief from disgruntled pigs, can you believe that? One ugly troll near Demsey's with more kids hanging off her arms than teeth in her mouth shouted 'WAWAW' when she saw my lads shirt, and one her runts shouted something about league 1. I laughed at them and suggested they check the day's results again. Second time was a bunch of lads near the town hall, one with a piggy polo shirt on all giving us real daggers. I just stared the fuckers down grinning like a Cheshire cat.

According to the unclean on Sheffield Forum, they have not had one shot on goal in two games (Rangers and Preston).

And I think they are all realising that unless they quickly get their act together, SUFC are going to steam roll right over the lot of them, led by Blade number one, Chris Wilder, and Blade number 1 junior, Sir Billy Sharp OBE.

Lovely stuff.

The fact is after being above us for 5 seasons here they are looking up at us and they are reacting like a lot of our fans have during the last 5 years. Utterly panic stricken at the thought of losing the ascendancy.
What I like is we had 2 years averaging finishing 5th just before we were relegated, and they have just had e years averaging finishing 5th

This is what happens when you persist with the Portuguese Kevin Blackwell. They've got some very talented players, money to burn, and they're going to Preston and having half a dozen shots all match. They're obviously capable of play good football when they want, the comparison seems spot on in this regard, yet the manager is more concerned in playing dour uncreative long ball.

To be fair, it wasn't like we'd done anything the season previous to be remotely optimistic.

It sounds like Carlos the Shoeseller is in for a tough season ahead.

They haven't half overreacted, one game in and they're all getting irate over social media. The table could turn in the next game, we haven't exactly got an easy fixture coming up. Still think they'll finish above us but don't think they'll be in top 6.

Two o my porcine acquaintances (who had both been to Deepdale) were genuinely, if drunkenly, worryin that if things at the sty do not get better, The Massive may well find they are playing in League One again next season!

I think it was the manner of the defeat that upset them, not one shot on target in 90 minutes and Carlos admitting they deserved to lose (though fair play to him for being honest).

Sadly I fear he may have gone by then. Its a 'massive' season for the pigs, I'm pretty sure their lavish spending can only be supported for another year due to FFP rules and then they'll have to start cutting their cloth. Their wage bill must be astronomical. If they're outside the top 6 towards the mid September Piggy Carcrash will be history.

They remind me of us when we were challenging at the top of that division.

Couple of bad play off losses behind us, huge expectation of challenging at the top and lumbered with a load of journeyman aging players on huge wages.

Already on the manager's back due to hangover from the season before.

We all know what happened to us.

Hahhahahaha they are actually shitting themselves hahahaha

I bet a lot of Wendies will be tuned in or down pub for our game next week. Show em what theyre in for.

It's just one game in.

But the decline of the blue and white wankers, predicted by one or two knowledgable types, if memory serves, has begun :) Pretty sure one bright spark said Carlos would be gone b4 Xmas ;)

And if rumour has it that they have already spunked the majority of funds available to them, the decline may be as sharp, steep and difficult as Jenkin Road !!

UTB

Petedora's Box opened for all the anti McCabists to relive the past despite yesterday's win.

Well done Sir :)

I tell you what, they're in better shape than us at present, they've got more money and will finish above us, should probably win the derbies too.

But I genuinely wouldn't swap our position for theirs this season. There's a real feel good factor about the club that they don't have, a real connection between manager and fans, and players and fans and a sense of enjoying the season ahead.

They're one game in, have signed one player due to FPP restrictions, want the manager our and are shitting themselves about us.

I'd rather be in our boat.
