It's an interesting point. While it's great to have a Cup run and, as we saw last season, can really lift both team and fans, I think it's time for a reality check. Have you seen the teams left in the Cup? Winning it is, er, doubtful. Plus, we've made sod all financially so far.

Still, it's good to enjoy the ride - once again.

Before yesterday our next 4 games are all in different competitions:

  • League Cup
  • League
  • FA Cup
  • JPT
We're going for the quad.

Makes a change to still be in either, nevermind both the JPT & LC after August.

Putting the Capital Cup into perspective, yesterday West Brom and Bournemouth made ten changes each. West Brom maybe, but surely Bournemouth should be taking it seriously?

Also, I suppose both teams will be fined 'the maximum possible' for fielding weakened teams like we did v. Hartlepool? Over to you, Mr. Samuel.

That just shows the strengths of the squads of the top teams if you look at who is left in the competition.

Unfortunately, we've got no chance. Would be nice to make it to the semis though

Any idea what the prize money is for this competition?

A decent home draw in the quarters will compensate for the poor prize money if that's the case, especially if it's a live TV game
