I know there's a Forum book thread somewhere, so apologies if this is in the wrong place....

I'm reading a book by a guy called David Goldblatt, The Game of our Lives: The Meaning and Making of English Football. It's all a bit political/sociological/economics-based, and only really about football in as much as it reveals certain things about England and English people (I know, form an orderly queue...)

I'm no fact-checker, but he states in one section that you could still pay £10 to stand, at Sheffield United, as late as 2012. I know I've been away for a long time, but that can't be right, can it?

Not standing legally, no. We've been all-seater since the early/mid '90s.

But a tenner might get you a ticket for the odd game since 2012.

1994 I think when John Street was demolished and they put in seats at the BL lower tier.
